From the freeway take the New England Offramp. If coming from Durban, turn right and cross the highway. If coming from Harrismith, turn left.
The next landmark is the Engen garage on the left. At this garage, turn right into Hesketh Rd. Continue on Hesketh Rd until a there is a distinct dip/valley in the road, where you will see clearly a road off the the left, at the bottom of the dip. This is Gripthorpe. Turn right here.
Now follow the road, ignoring minor dirt tracks, stay on the main road. It crosses the Duzi River. There is some gravel, some tar, some more gravel.
There is a distinct curve right on a gravel section followed by a curve left. When you hit tar again, Acacia Bush Lodge is 200m ahead on the left. It's difficult to miss.
