The Barrington’s Small Hotel is an intimate 10 bedroom hotel situated directly above the Barrington’s Brewery and a few short strides from the impressive Barrington’s Restaurant and Bar. Expect personalised service and attention to detail which will ensure a stay that is as unique and memorable as the location itself.
The Restaurant:
Barrington’s light filled restaurant is as serene as its surroundings, perfectly complementing the panoramic views of the valley beyond. Enjoy lunch or dinner either inside or on the wraparound deck overlooking the garden and riverbank. Lit by fireplaces and clusters of over sized rattan pendants, the Brasserie provides an elegant and tranquil space that works regardless of the time of day.
It’s the menus which offer unconventional delights. Slow cooked, pulled free range meats prepared in Barrington’s custom-made smoker paired with fresh indigenous regional ingredients, including Barrington’s very own daily harvest, offer a uniquely South African take on smokehouse cuisine. Finishing touches include freshly baked breads from the onsite bakery and a wide selection of homemade pickles, preserves and chutneys.
The Brewery:
Barrington’s is the first craft brewery to be situated within the town of Plettenberg Bay itself. The 500 lt brewery is headed up by Knysna local, Marcus Meunier who has crafted four superbly individual beers to start – a Lager, a Weiss, an English Ale and an American Rye Ale.

Six white on white, light filled compact Standard Rooms overlook the valley behind Barrington’s. The rooms feature pristine linens and locally produced organic amenities ensuring an indulgent stay.
