Bellavista is a beautiful country retreat overlooking the Walker Bay on a private fynbos property of 300-hectares.  It offers wonderful sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Overberg Mountains.

In this panoramic setting, tranquility, privacy and peace are assured with a choice of stylish and comfortable accommodation.  Guests have a choice of Sea View Suites, a Sea View Room, a Junior Suite and a Mountain View Cottage.

Each room and suite has a private bathroom, tea and coffee tray.  The Sea View Suites have a basic kitchenette with a bar fridge and microwave, and the Mountain View Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and its own braai.  The Sea View Room and Junior Suite do not have self-catering facilities.

A large salt water, rim flow swimming pool with an overflow into a kids pool is available to all our guests.

Area Info:

Walker Bay, the lagoon, and the Kleinriver area are famous for bird watching with the nearby town of Stanford declared as ‘the bird watchers paradise of the Overberg’. Various nature reserves nearby invite you to explore the local fauna and flora. Several golf courses are also nearby in Hermanus and Caledon. There is a shopping Mall in Hermanus. Our property of 300 hectares offers private hiking trails with plenty of bird and animal watching, in the middle of the real Fynbos Kingdom. Feel free to pick the flowers you like most as an ever-lasting souvenir from our beautiful area.

The cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids. The bedroom has a king bed, and there is a mezzanine loft room with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a bath and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is an open-plan dining and living area.

Sea View Room nr. 6
Sleeping 4, this room has 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. The 1st bedroom has a king bed, a seating area, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The 2nd interleading room has 2 single beds. The room opens to the swimming pool.

Sea View Suites
These suites each contain a king bed, an en-suite bathroom with a bath or shower, a kitchenette with a bar fridge, microwave and kettle, a dining area, and a lounge with a fireplace. Each suite has a patio with outdoor furniture.

From Cape Town International Airport: - Exit the airport on Michigan Street, turn left onto Borcherds Quarry Road/M22 and proceed for 700 m; - Use the left lane to merge onto Settlers Way/N2 via the ramp to Somerset West and proceed for 800 m; - Merge onto Settlers Way/N2 and proceed for 3.2 km; - Keep right to continue on the N2 and proceed for 65.3 km; - Take Exit 90 towards the R43/Kleinmond/Hermanus and proceed for 3 km; - Continue onto the R43 and proceed for 28.4 km; - At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Royal Street and proceed for 650 m; - At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Lord Roberts Street and proceed for 250 m; - At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Main Road/R43 and proceed for 3 km; - At the roundabout, take the second exit onto 7th Street/R43 and continue to follow the R43 for 20.3 km; - At the roundabout, take the second exit and stay on the R43 for 8.3 km; - Turn left at the white Bellavista entrance gates and proceed for 1.8 km to the country retreat.
