Beyond the Moon, a tranquil guest farm in the foothills of the idyllic Outeniqua Mountains offers 5 comfortable self-catering cottages in the lush green beauty of the Garden Route.
Fifteen minutes from the beaches of Wilderness and thirty minutes from George this 24ha property boasts a large section of unspoiled indigenous forest incorporating a 45 minute private hiking trail.

Accommodation
Froggy Lodge
Situated in a clearing in the indigenous forest, Froggy Lodge is a spacious cottage with lounge and fully equipped kitchen. Froggy Lodge has two bedrooms with double beds, there is also a bunk bed in the one bedroom and a single bed in the living room. The cottage sleeps up to 7 people.
Froggy Lodge overlooks a tranquil vlei of lillies and bird life. Bushbuck, wild pig and other wildlife roam freely in and out of the clearing from the surrounding forest.
Francolin and Kestrel Cottages
Semi-detached cottages: Kestrel cottage sleeps four and Francolin cottage sleeps five. Both have a single living area incorporating a well-equipped kitchenette and their own bathrooms with showers.
Francolin has one room with a double bed and a second bedroom with 3 single beds. Kestrel has one bedroom with a double bed and one kids room with a bunk-bed.
These two cottages have a view of the indigenous forest and the Outeniqua Mountains and are nearest the entrance of the farm.
Kingfisher Cottage
Set in the forest clearing, this cottage consists of two rooms and can sleep up to 6 people. There is a double bed and a bunkbed in the bedroom and another bunkbed in the second room (with kitchenette and eating area). It boasts a unique garden bathroom with forest view and great hot shower. It is situated right next to the vlei and has a barbecue area under a majestic weeping willow, often full of weaverbird nests.
River Sanctuary
This is a simple wooden cottage situated next to a stream and surrounded by forest. This self-catering cottage has one bedroom with a single bed and 2 bunkbeds and the double bed is in the open-plan living area with a semi-divider.
The bathroom has a bath only but there is a hot shower outdoors.
Booking:
A deposit of half the total amount due is payable to confirm a provisional booking, the balance to be paid on arrival.
Arrival:
Between 14h00 and 18h00. Please confirm your time of arrival so that we can meet you.
Departure: Between 10am and 10.30am. Please remember to return your keys before departing.
Beyond the Moon farm has its own 45 min private hiking trail through indigenous forest.
We have identified some of the trees along the path and have marked marked them.
Bird watching is another great activity right here.
For fun the boats may be used on the dams and the place lends itself to kids riding around on their bicycles and building dams in the streams.
The famous Big Tree" of Woodville is less than five minutes away and has its own 30min forest walk.
Not far from Beyond the Moon farm: numerous nature trails (walks and hikes), cycling in Bergplaas (permit required) and around, paragliding, beach swimming, sea fishing, adventure ziplines, 4x4 adventures, quad bike adventures, horse riding trails.
