Bonne Esperance Boutique Guest House is more than a charming Victorian villa and landscaped English garden. It is also located on the best corner in Stellenbosch and within 500 m easy walking distance from the historic core and Stellenbosch University.

Deluxe Room with Balcony or Patio:
The Deluxe Balcony Rooms are spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable. Five of the rooms have balconies while the three remaining rooms have patios, all of which open onto the central courtyard and swimming pool.
Classic Guest room:
The Classic Guest Rooms are spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable. The rooms and en suite bathrooms have all been renovated (completed September 2019). We have five Classic Guest Rooms in total, three of which are situated on the ground floor while the other two are situated on the first floor.
Loft Guest room:
The two Loft Guest Rooms are situated in the attic of our Victorian-style villa and are perfect for couples. Each cosy Loft Guest Room is en suite with a shower, seating space for two and a desk.
Petite Single Guest room:
Our Single Guest Rooms are small yet supremely functional, ideal for single travelers or business people. One of the rooms has a Three Quarter Bed while the other has a Standard Double Bed. Please note that these rooms are located next to communal areas which may cause noise disturbances.
Child policy
Children over 6 years of age are welcome at Bonne Esperance. We place an extra bed in the Classic Guest rooms to accommodate a child.

Studio Apartments
The studio apartments are situated 50 m from the main bed-and-breakfast house and is also in an old, Victorian building, lovingly renovated to perfection. The studios are decorated in keeping with the charming style that Bonne Esperance is known for but with a modern twist. All the rooms are on ground floor with ample outside seating space on the veranda or around the splash pool. Parking is also provided on the premises.
Honeymoon Studio
The Honeymoon Studio is spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable with a romantic four poster bed. The Honeymoon Studio boasts an en suite bathroom with a Victorian bath and crystal chandelier.
One Bedroom Apartment
The apartment boasts an open plan living area with a kitchen and lounge area, one bedroom and en suite bathroom with walk in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The lounge area has a double sleeper couch for families traveling with children.

Deluxe Guest Room with patio or balcony
The Classic Guest Rooms are spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable. The rooms and en suite bathrooms have all been renovated (completed September 2019).Two of our Classic Guest Rooms can be converted into Family Guest Rooms, one room has an extra single bed, while another has an extra day bed. Please confirm which bed type you would prefer when making your reservation.
The Honeymoon Studio is spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable with a romantic four poster bed. The Honeymoon Studio boasts an en suite bathroom with a Victorian bath and crystal chandelier.
It is situated on the ground floor with an outside door leading to a private seating area on the veranda and is fully serviced on a daily basis. The kitchenette in the studio is equipped with an under-counter fridge, prep bowl, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. It is located 50m from Bonne Esperance Guest House in another Victorian Villa and across the road from the University of Stellenbosch Botanical Garden. This property features off street parking behind a security gate, a plunge pool and a sun terrace. Check in is at Bonne Esperance Guest house on the corner of Neethling and Van Riebeeck street.

Bonne Esperance Guest House reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fee should a confirmed reservation be cancelled within the following period:
- 50% cancellation fee if cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival
- 100% cancellation fee if cancelled 7 days or less prior to arrival or in the event of a non arrival
Directions to Stellenbosch, from Cape Town International Airport, via N2 Highway. When leaving Airport for Stellenbosch, head for N2 and take off-ramp, in direction Somerset West. Take Exit # 33 (R310 or Baden Powell Drive) and turn left at traffic halt, in the direction of Stellenbosch. Continue on R310 for approx 15 Km, until T-junction (you will have passed Spier Estate 3 Km back) with a traffic light. Turn right in the direction Stellenbosch, traveling a further 4 Km, through a set of traffic lights, over a railway bridge and onto a 2nd set of traffic lights. Turn right at this junction, into Dorp Street. Continue along Dorp Street and at the top one is forced into a sharp right-hand bend. On rounding this bend take 1st left into The Avenue (there are houses on your left and the Eerste River on your right). Continue up The Avenue for about 200m and turn left into Neethling Street. Continue along Neethling for approx 150m where it intersects with Van Riebeeck Street. Bonne Esperance is on this corner. Turn right into our off-street parking (on Neethling Street).
