Our sunsets paint incredible hues and the clear night-skies offer a glimpse of the universe. Our veld is on the threshold of the Karoo with the oasis enticing butterflies and birds to your doorstep. ...But it is our hospitality that brings you back. Come and relax in nature`s tranquility.
Retreat to large comfortable private units with en suite shower / toilet or bath / toilet. Each unit has its own lounge and dining area for ultimate comfort. All have fridge and tea / coffee facilities. Safe parking right next to your unit. A huge lapa allows for leisure and true Karoo conviviality.
You can relax in our inviting garden or walk to our farm dam. Small conferences of up to 16 people can be accommodated for. We serve breakfast and dinner (Karoo lamb and farm fare) by prior arrangement.
Conference Facilities
Boschrand Guest Farm can accommodate conferences of up to 24 people. While a large conference hall creates the ideal setting for creative thought, the huge lapa balances work and play.
There is plenty to do at Boschrand like game viewing, boat cruises on nearby Gariep Dam and anglo Boer War sights. You can also do some hiking and bird viewing. Best of all, we provide fun farm activities for children - feed a hanslam, or watch the cows being milked, etc.
Hiking and Day walks: All guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll to our farm dam. For the more ardent hikers a trail through our world unlocks a treasure chest of natural beauty in the foothills of the Karoo. Learn more about our false Karoo vegetation, rock formation and wildlife. Rest in a little oasis and return home rejuvenated.
4 x 4: Karoo flat and boring!? - not at Boschrand!. All adrenaline junkies, we challenge you to drive our way and give our route a try if you dare. For the not so adventurous 4 x 4 'er, a meandering drive in the veld takes you through a working sheep farm and on a peaceful game drive which is at its best round about sunset time.

Coming from the Cape side via Colesberg:
- Follow N1 go past Colesberg, go past Gariep Dam / Bethulie turn-off continue on N1 highway for 20 km after Gariep Dam.
- Turn left at crossing called Hereford / Priors. Follow dirt road 400 meters. Enter through white gates "Boschrand Guest Farm". Follow road past sheds. Ring bell at garden gate.
Coming from Johannesburg via Bloemfontein:
- Follow N1, go past Bloemfontein, go past Edenburg, go past Trompsburg
Go past Springfotein. 20 km further turn right at Hereford / Priors crossing.
- Follow dirt road 400 meters. Enter through white gates "Boschrand Guest Farm". Follow road past sheds. Ring bell at garden gate.
