Umzimbeet — This family room is like a loft, upstairs is the twin room with the main (queen Bed) below, airconditioned and has its own entrance and close to the swimming pool and a beautiful view of the water hole.

Cross Berry — Our ground floor twin room is airconditioned, modern with a ceiling fan, shared bathroom with both a shower and bath. Between the rooms there is a relaxing lounge area for you and your family to enjoy the bush and view of the water hole while animals come to drink.

Our new family run Lodge since 2019, Buffalo Hill Safari Lodge, is situated in the 23000 ha Manyoni Private Game Reserve.

For the bird lovers, the reserve has over 400 species of birds. Over 70 species of mammals, among them the Big 5 and also African wild dogs and cheetah.

For winter we would suggest jacket or jerseys as it does get cool in the evenings and early mornings.

Directions:

From Durban

Pongola/Johannesburg Side: Buffalo Hill is +/- 480km from O.R. Tambo International Airport on the N2, at the Mkuze town turn off turn right onto the P234 Bangonomo road. Once you have turned off the N2 travel about 1.1kms and take the first left dirt road onto the D240 and follow the road till you get to the gate to Manyoni Private Game Reserve. Once inside follow the road until you get the mangement offices on the right and take the very next right turn, from there travel strait till you get to a T junction (do not turn off this road.) Turn left and you should see the lodge up ahead.
