Cape Diem Lodge is a boutique-style guest lodge in the cultural hub of Cape Town, offering guests a refreshing alternative to ordinary hotel accommodation. Stay in stylish comfort and experience true hospitality as our dedicated staff attend to your every need.

Our idea to re-launch and convert this Victorian jewel from the early 1870s into a luxurious meeting point for friends the world over, came in the blink of an eye. The complete restoration in 2007 and 2008 took several months and was carried out with the greatest attention to detail. As well as being one of Cape Towns most sought-after properties, it encompasses influences from old and new, local and global, coming together in playful harmony.

Equipped with every modern-day luxury, this historical property is set in a beautifully landscaped garden on the slopes of Signal Hill, next to Table Mountain.

Accommodation at Cape Diem Lodge:
Our main playground is the Mediterranean-landscaped garden and large pool deck area. Here, you can enjoy a well-deserved day of rest and in the early evenings relax with a sun downer on our elevated terrace. Our rooftop sundeck, with uninterrupted views over the Table Bay, is our latest addition to spoil YOU, our welcome guest.

Our seven, perfectly appointed rooms are split into 3 different categories, namely 1 Junior Classic room, 4 Classic Rooms and 2 Superior Rooms. The interior is inspired by a new generation of young South African designers. Light coloured suites are characterised by innumerable details, as well as over sized beds, innovative bathrooms, state-of-the-art self-controlled cooling and heating systems, LCD flat screen TVs and DVDs as well as a fully stocked minibar, including South African wines and champagne. All our guests receive complimentary, 20 gig uncapped Fibre to use throughout the entire property, keeping them connected to home while visiting Cape Town.

Furthermore, all of our guest rooms are equipped with Nespresso Coffee Machines and Capsules, digital safes and hair dryers. Cotton bathrobes, slippers and luxury bathroom amenities ensure for a pampered stay. Challenge us what more can we get you?

Served from 07h30 until 10h30, you can help yourself to a well proportioned continental buffet of fresh breads, German rolls, sliced seasonal fruit salad, cheeses, meats and freshly squeezed orange juice followed by a selection of scrumptious hot breakfast dishes to choose from our Menu Our Eggs Benedict comes highly recommended!

Pool snacks and drinks
As long as the sun is shining you are welcome to make use of our main playground in the Mediterranean-landscaped garden and large pool deck area. Here, you can enjoy a well-deserved day of rest and in the early evenings relax with a sundowner on our elevated terrace.

Sundowners
A variety of sundowners are available for your enjoyment. If you didnt know, sundowner is a South African tradition, whereby individuals or groups of friends enjoy a relaxing drink while watching the sun go down because we have some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

You are able to order a freshly made basket of treats to take on tour trips with you. We request that you provide 24 hours notice for orders.

Complimentary afternoon tea
What would Cape Diem be, without a Victorian tradition afternoon tea. Complimentary tea is offered at 12h00 every day with a choice of tea, coffee, biscuits or traditional South African rusks.
