Accommodation at Charihandra Game Lodge:
Charihandra Lodge offers private game lodge accommodation near the Addo Elephant National Park, featuring thatched chalets which are stylish and very well equipped, allowing you to enjoy your Addo stay in great comfort. Elegantly appointed, with the emphasis on your comfort, relaxation and the `call of the wild`. The thatched chalets offer separate independent sun decks and braai or BBQ areas. The kitchens offer a full self catering option and include: stove, microwave and fridge.

The Charihandra Chalets are equipped with televisions and air-conditioners for the chilly Addo winter nights and for the warmer Addo days. A valuables safe and hairdryer complete the well thought out facilities.

The KUDU Chalet consist of a Queen bed in the main open-plan area and 2 x single beds on top (a staircase separating the two rooms).
The IMPALA Chalet consist of 2 x Three-quarter beds in the main open-plan area and 2 x single beds on top (a staircase separating the two rooms).
The ZEBRA Chalet consist of 2 x Three-quarter beds in the main open-plan area and 2 x single beds on top (a staircase separating the two rooms).
The NYALA Cottage consist of a Queen Bed in the main open-plan area, the Cottage only sleeps 2 people.

Clothing and Accessories:

While on Safari in Addo, it is wise to choose clothing in neutral, camouflage colours such as brown, khaki, stone or beige which will make you less visible and able to get closer to the wild animals you may want to see. It is advisable to layer your clothing as this provides more warmth when necessary and allows you to remove clothing during the hottest period of the day. Neutral coloured clothing

Health and Climate:

Addo normally receives about 281 mm of rain per year, with rainfall occurring throughout the year. Addo receives the lowest rainfall in July and the highest in March. The average daily maximum midday temperatures for Addo range from 20.7 degrees C in July to 28.2 degrees C in February. The Addo region is the coldest during July when temperatures drop to 7.3 degrees C on average during the night.
