All in-house guests have access to the West Terrace lounge with gas fireplace, the Gimbal library with a collection of books as well as flat screen TV with selected satellite channels, the Conservatory restaurant, the Compass bar for pre-or post-dinner drinks as well as the outdoor swimming pool, manicured gardens and walking paths. Four original twin rooms remain on the mezzanine level of the house and have access to the landing lounge as well as the patio balcony.
In addition to the accommodation De Hoek offers a variety of event venues that can accommodate up to 80 guests for a private event, a wedding or a corporate conference. The Point Room in the Stone House is used for private dining for up to 12 guests.
The Garden Pavilion can seat up to 30 people for wedding receptions or double up as a chapel when the weather does not permit an outside ceremony. Stonebridge House which has its own kitchen and service bar can accommodate 60 guests in the Foundation room and 12 people each in the Cornerstone and Capstone breakaway rooms.
The Bridge Bistro, with stacking glass doors that look out onto the Olienhout Ridge can seat up to 80 guests for wedding receptions or private parties.
Accommodation at De Hoek Country Hotel:
The hotel has 12 Classic Superior suites, 4 Classic Superior Suites with a gas fireplace, 10 Deluxe Suites and 2 Penthouse Suites as options for accommodation. Of the Deluxe Suites, 2 are wheelchair friendly with wider doors and passages, hand rails in bathrooms and level threshold showers entrances.
The Penthouse Suite:
Each open-plan penthouse suite, with contemporary interiors, together with the addition of a more spacious entrance area to host a beverage station, offers guests a more comfortable and luxurious stay.
Open up the double doors onto your wrap-around balcony or step into the lounge and dining area with 4-seater couches and a 4-seater round wooden dining table for in-room dining. An executive working desk separates the bedroom from the lounge and can be closed off with large wooden barn style sliding doors for privacy in the lounge, bedroom or working area. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, vanity and dressing area as well as a separate toilet.
Deluxe Suites:
The Deluxe suites are more modern with fresh contemporary interiors, king size extra length beds, high exposed trusses, bay windows and American ash furniture.
They also include executive work desks, selected satellite channels, balconies with outside chairs, baths and showers with heated towel rails, woollen carpets, feature sliding doors, contemporary chandeliers, air conditioners, pro-centric 42inch flat screen televisions, I-pod docking stations, Wi-Fi , mini-bar fridges, telephone, room safes, hairdryers, Nespresso coffee machines and tea stations.
Superior Suite:
The Superior suites are beautifully appointed and are equipped with the following; Mahogany king size extra length beds.
Each suite has luxurious cotton percale linen, goose down duvet inners, a large oval bath and shower, double marble basins, minibar fridges, mahogany cupboards, pro-centric system televisions, executive work desks, hairdryers, telephones and coffee and tea stations.
Executive Twin Rooms:
In the original Manor House with bath or shower en-suite, 2 X 3/4 beds & telephone as well as satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and executive working desk. Main House Executive suites lead off from the upper lounge area.
Downstairs, the lounge and Conservatory restaurant look out through glass doors and windows onto the cool forest of indigenous trees and shrubs that wrap around the main hotel.
Conference
De Hoek caters for top executive conferences and meetings where creative thinking and important decisions are made.
Four elegant conference and function rooms are situated in the grounds in the imposing sandstone Stonebridge House. The formal Foundation Room, with elegant interiors, can accommodate up to 60 delegates with various seating arrangements. A service bar leads off the room. Two smaller conference rooms, Cornerstone and Capstone rooms, lead out onto the enclosed veranda which in turn leads into the lovely Bridge Bistro restaurant. With high ceilings, artwork and glass doors and windows leading into the gardens, this is ideal.
The Garden Pavilion is also a beautiful room, with a fireplace and large brass chandeliers; it is available for up to 30 delegates.
Twenty-four hour conference packages are offered to delegates who want superlative cuisine, good wine, excellent accommodation and service within an elegant and exclusive environment.
Any type of activity could be arranged for team building and these would include hot air ballooning, competitive cooking, Vegas gambling nights, murder mystery dinners, drumming, guest speakers and conversations with famous South Africans, to name a few.
Dining:
The Bridge Bistro is a modern and contemporary glass enclosed dining room with magnificent views onto the bridge and riverine bush. A lighter menu is offered in this gorgeous setting.
The Conservatory is a beautiful dining room with glass doors looking out onto the pond area and lovely gardens, with a warm, cosy ambiance. Romantic 5 course, silver service dinners are served in this dining room. Pre-dinner drinks are served in the bar and elegant west terrace.

Travel on the R28/N14 towards Krugersdorp until you reach a robot (Sasol Garage)
At the robot, turn right onto the R47 and travel for about 10km until you reach a T-junction. At the T-junction there will be an Oaktree Zenex Garage turn right onto the R563
Travel for about 20km on the R563 until you see the 2nd Magaliesburg board. Turn left at this sign
Travel for about 8km until you see the boards Bekker School & De Hoek Country House turn right
