Situated on prime land in the Dinokeng free roaming big 5 game reserve, De Kleine Serengeti Game Lodge borders the Pienaars River on the one side and the tar road to Rust de Winter dam on the other. The Lodge offers 10 self catering chalets as well as arranged game drives.
What makes De Kleine Serengeti so special is a lovely dam with hundreds of ducks and beyond that a grass plain where game can be seen for most of the day without leaving the comfort of the lodge.
From here you can view Eland, Buffalo, Kudu, Ostrich, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest and many more game and birds species.
Game drives are available for those in search of the more elusive animals such as leopard, lion and cheetah. Self-drive is also available.

De Kleine Serengeti Game Lodge together with other game farms are part of the larger Dinokeng Game Reserve.
Situated only 45 km north of Pretoria, bordering the N1. The reserve has a wide variety of bird life, the big 5 and other animals.
The area is malaria free.
The Dinokeng Game Reserve is a large wildlife sanctuary in the province of Gauteng, South Africa and can be accessed via the N1 route. It is a 40-minute drive from Pretoria or 75 minutes from the O. R. Tambo Airport and Johannesburg. The reserve is the only wildlife sanctuary in Gauteng that has the Big Five game animals, free walks, and is open for visitors to explore. It covers an area of approximately 21,000 hectares.

Our game viewing drives are available through out the day, pre bookings essential. Drives takes about 2 hours with snacks and beverages being supplied Youll be guided by our certified game ranger who will take you and your party through the reserve, encountering many animals along the way.

De Kleine Serengeti offers 10 luxury, self-catering, open-plan chalets. The chalets each have a queen-size bed and the bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove, kettle, fridge, toaster and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Other in-room amenities include air-conditioning and a patio with covered braai facilities. There is also lounge area with a TV and selected DStv channels.
De Kleine Serengeti Family House has 5 comfortable rooms that can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests per room. Each room is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower. Each room has air-conditioning, a fan, a heater, bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. This self catering chalet has fully equipped kitchen with a wonderful view towards the dam and its own private patio with braai/barbeque. Unfortunately there are no TV’s in these rooms.
De Kleine Serengeti Family House has 5 comfortable rooms that can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests per room. In the event of NO show the total cost of the reservation will be charged for.
- If cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival - 25% of deposit will be retained.
- If cancelled 15 days or more prior to arrival - 50% of deposit be retained.
- If cancelled 7 days or more prior to arrival - 75% of deposit be retained.
- If cancelled 7 days or less prior to arrival - the deposit will not be refunded.
- All deposits made for High Season are NON refundable.
