Dragon Peaks has developed to offer a wide range of accommodation from our Caravan and Camping sites to well appointed Self Catering thatch cottages and numerous activities which make the most of our stunning natural environment.
All long weekends are a minimum of of 3 night stay and Easter will be 4 Nights A Minimum of 2 nights stay required over a weekend, December a minimum of 5 nights or more

All with braais, 15 or 16A electric points with TV Plugs for Channels 1, 2, 3 and E. Additional motor vehicles will be charged at R20,00 (rate may change) per night on demarcated parking areas.

Set on a hillside with stunning Berg views, this luxury unit sleeps 6 people in 3 en suite bedrooms. Double storey unit with oak furnishings, a fireplace, under floor heating, aircon, kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

Our latest addition to the Resort, these Lakeside suites are open-plan, self catering chalets consisting of one bedroom, shower in en-suite bathroom. These units boast stunning views over the dam and all come with their own built in braai.

Located in the middle and back of the resort, this large cottage allows guests a measure of privacy and the convenience of being close to all of our facilities. Thatch Cottage No 2 (12 sleeper with fireplace)
A spacious 5 bedroom thatch cottage with mountain views. Five bedrooms (three doubles, six singles). Three bathrooms, lounge (with fireplace), kitchen and dining room. This cottage also has a car port.

Thatch Cottage No 3 (9 sleeper with fireplace)
This 160sqm double story thatched cottage has three and half bedrooms and two bathrooms (master-en-suite). There is one double bed and seven singles, a kitchen and lounge/dinette (with fireplace). The cottage is situated near the duck dam and has beautiful Drakensberg mountain views.

These 45sqm thatched cottages have one bedroom/lounge, one double bed, kitchen/dinette and bathroom with shower over the bath. The cottages are situated near the Duck Dam and have wonderful mountain views.

Some of these thatched cottages have lake and mountain views. Each unit has three individual en-suite bedrooms (one double and two twins) with air-con and veranda. The lounges have a fireplace, and a dry bar and kitchenette for self catering are available. Coffee/tea sachets are provided on arrival.

21 days or more prior to arrival - 75% of deposit refunded. 14-21days prior to arrival - 50% of deposit refundable. 8-13 days prior to arrival - 25% of deposit refundable. 7 days or less prior to arrival – no refund. Minimum administration fee of R100 should deposit be less than R400
Directions:
How to get here from Johannesburg/Pretoria: Follow the N3 south to Harrismith. Turn left on the Bethlehem/Phutatatjhaba road, which will turn back under the highway, for about 5kms. Take the R712 left to Bergville/Phutatajhaba. Left again on the R74 to Bergville. Continue past Bergville, to Winterton. Turn right, once over the bridge, onto the R600 and travel for 28kms. Turn right through the green walled entrance. Follow the road down past the Drakensberg Boys Choir for 1km. Go through the security gate to Reception.
How to get here from Durban/Pietermaritzburg during the day: Follow the N3 north, passing Pietermaritzburg and Mooi River. Take the 3rd Estcourt turn off which is the Estcourt North/179 glide off. Turn left onto the Loskop road and travel 30kms to the R600. Turn left and continue for 15kms. Turn right through the beige walled entrance Follow the road down past the Drakensberg Boys Choir for 1km Go through the security gate to Reception.
How to get here from Durban/Pietermaritzburg after dark: Follow the N3 north, passing Pietermaritzburg and Mooi River and Estcourt. After passing the Estcourt UltraCity Petrol Station, turn left onto the R74 to Winterton. Once in Winterton, turn left onto the R600 and travel for 28kms. Turn right through the beige walled entrance. Follow the road down past the Drakensberg Boys Choir for 1km Go through the security gate to Reception.
