Discover Du Kloof Lodge, a haven of fresh air and tranquillity nestled between the Du Toits Kloof and Witteberg mountains in a wine-producing region of the Western Cape. Here on the banks of the Molenaars River, extensive consultation and environmental consideration was undertaken, before permission was granted to build this exclusive estate and lodge in an eco-sensitive area.
Enjoy relaxed yet refined hospitality, modern amenities and varied, fresh cuisine in most spectacular scenery of the Western Cape.
Just 65km from Cape Town International, we welcome wedding parties, honeymooners, wine lovers and dedicated fly fishermen or women - as well as those simply wishing to escape city life and rejuvenate by the fireplace, along our waterways or in the fragrant woods and mountain fynbos.
Activities & Attractions at Du Kloof Lodge:
There`s so much to do in the immediate vicinity that we always find that guests who come for a night or two, normally book their return stay for longer! Just adjacent to the estate is a thriving trout farm, which leads us to mention our trout-rich river and six dams - come prepared! Rainbows up to 20" are regularly caught here, and average size is in the region of 15". Then there`s our on-site "Something to wine about" Vinoteque for wine enthusiasts, a popular farm stall and kiosk, as well as all the outdoor pursuits the daylight will allow you: invigorating mountain walks, bird watching, white water canoeing, mountaineering spots, jogging and mountain biking.
We also cater for the outdoor lovers, as we have 17 braai areas, a lapa near the river that can accommodate 40 people. The lodge will host a music show on a monthly basis - please note that booking is essential!
A little further afield lie the wine routes of Paarl, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Wellington and Worcester - five of the world`s best all within reach! That is of course, besides the very convenient option of our own Vinoteque.
There also fantastic golf courses at Boschenmeer (+/- 10 km) and at Worcester (+/- 30 km). This really is the Boland at its best, rich with verdant vineyards and mountain ravines sheltering patches of evergreen forests.
Oh - and don`t worry about those rainy days. All the more reason to make yourself at home with a glass of red in our welcoming restaurant or bar. Don`t forget our Big Screen for landmark sport events.
