Etusis Lodge is situated in the Etusis Nature Reserve which covers more than 12 000 hectares. Etusis Lodge is a mere 2 hours drive from the cities of Windhoek and Swakopmund and about 36 kilometres southwest from the town of Karibib.
The farm is partly savannah and partly mountains, in fact, one of the highest mountain ranges of the country - the Otjipatera Mountains - form part of the farm area. The famous Etusis waterhole with its waterfall is about 2 kilometres away from the lodge and is also part of the farm.
Apart from observation trips by 4x4 vehicles, Etusis offers walking trips and excursions on horseback. In addition, the region is ideal for mountaineering and hiking. Observation lookout points close to waterholes have been created for game viewing. Please do not forget to bring binoculars, video cameras and night glasses.
As part of its service the Lodge will collect clients from Windhoek International Airport (at a fee).
Accommodation is in typical African bungalows with thatched roofs or in comfortable 2-man tents. Should additional accommodation be required for children or friends, the bungalows are spacious enough to be adapted on request.
A small swimming pool is at your disposal and a restaurant and bar overlook the waterhole in the Rivier. Meals will be served communal style at fixed times.
The town of Karibib offers shopping possibilities, a large airfield for charter flights, a nine-hole golf course and medical facilities.
