Fairfield Cottages - Each season is special on the farm – winter boast views of snow capped mountains and crystal clear streams running past the cottages, in spring the orchards in pink and white blossoms are breathtaking – so is the abundant wild flowers, summer is ideal for our numerous activities and autumn turns our special town (a mere 6 km away) into a picturesque wonderland.
Our activities on the farm include hiking
trails, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and bird watching. Fairfield is also home to a variety of
wildlife, magnificent fynbos, 2 resident four legged friends (which duty it is
to pay a friendly visit to all guests) and a few horses.
The self-catering accommodation is also pet-friendly.

Walking, jogging or mountain biking
Explore the orchards or single track along the foot of the mountain.
Hiking
Stroll along on the two well marked Orchard Routes that follow the farm roads. Alternatively, put on a pair of hiking boots and go explore the 3 rocky mountain routes. There are two sites with rock paintings very close to the cottages with breathtaking views of Ceres Valley and its pink mountains at sunset.
Fairfield Dam
Ideal for skiing, swimming and bass fishing. Canoes also available for guest use. Be on the lookout for our winter trout fishing opening soon!
Plunge pool and swing
Pool with loungers and shaded lawn between the self catering cottages.
Wildlife
You will run into the Duiker and Klipspringer families roaming between the cottages. Also be on the lookout for fish eagle, hadeda, mongoose, meerkat, geese, guinea-fowl, pheasants, owls and numerous other species of birdlife. At night the Caracals can be heard calling up in the mountains. Please don’t feed any animal on the property.

The Klipspringer self-catering accommodation consists of an open plan
kitchen and living area with a fire hearth. The spacious outdoor braai area is next to the
vine covered porch which looks out onto the mountains It has three bedrooms and
a bunk bed suitable for a child. For the
adventurous there is a second bathroom outside, boasting a tree shower (with
hot water), basin and toilet.
Outside under the towering
pine trees is a braai area on the lawn with a little stream running past in
winter. Children can enjoy the tree
swing and the plunge pool is 50 m away.

mountains. For the adventurous there is
an outside bath tucked away behind the rocks with hot water and breathtaking surroundings.

- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
FROM CAPE TOWN (± 2 HOURS)
1. Take the N1 past Paarl and through the Hugenot Tunnel.
2. Turn right at the R101 Rawsonville turn off.
3. Go past the Slanghoek turn off and take a left at Goudini Road (R43)
4. Follow this road, turn right at the T-junction marked Wolseley (R43) and go over the bridge
5. Drive along and turn left towards Ceres (R43) at the next T-junction
6. Continue and turn right at the next T-junction marked Ceres (R46).
7. Drive into Ceres and turn left at the sign marked Prince Alfred Hamlet (R303)
8. Continue for 5km, Fairfield Cottages gate will be on your left.
Children under 3 years old stay free of charge.
