With 8 km of pristine water frontage on our 3500 hectare reserve, we are uniquely situated to offer unforgettable experiences. We can accommodate 50 guests in our comfortable chalets plus there are two five star luxury self-catering villa`s which can accommodate 8 and 10 guests respectively.

Accommodation at Finfoot Lake Reserve:
Chalet (2 sleeper)
The chalets are furnished with two single beds that can either be made up as singles or converted to a king size bed. The chalet has a wardrobe with hangers, tea and coffee making station with a fresh supply on a daily basis, mini bar fridge and hair dryer, as well as a mini lounge area. The bathroom has a shower. We also supply amenities and bottled water on check in. The chalet has an air conditioner, fan and extra blankets in the wardrobe. Each chalet has a small private deck where guests can relax.
Bush Chalet (4 sleeper)
The bush chalets are furnished with two single beds that can either be made up as singles or converted to a king size bed and a large pull out sleeper couch for children under 12 years. The bush chalet has a wardrobe with hangers, tea and coffee making station with a fresh supply on a daily basis, mini bar fridge and hair dryer. The bush chalet has two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath. We also supply amenities and bottled water on check in. The bush chalet has an air conditioner, fan and extra blankets in the wardrobe. Each bush chalet has a small private deck where guests can relax.
Luxury Self-Catering Villa 2 (10 sleeper)
Villa 2 has an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a fridge with a freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The house has 4 bedrooms of which two second bedrooms are in the corridor with a bathroom with shower. Then the two main bedrooms has bathrooms with a shower, bath and outside shower. Each bedroom can sleep two guests. There is a television with DSTV channels and a lovely loft with spectacular views and a day bed that can accommodate two kids. The house has a wraparound deck with a small plunge pool and some pool loungers where guests can relax. Towels and Linen will be provided and the house will be services once daily.
Canoeing is a recreational activity which involves paddling a canoe with a single-bladed paddle. Accompanied by a guide. Life Jackets must be worn at all times. Trip on the dam - R95 per person - 1-hour activity excluding driving time.
Off Road Segway - Segway off road tours are guided. It is a lot of fun and the Segway moves forward by balancing yourself, leaning forward to move forward and removing one leg to stop. The tour is guided. Helmets must be want at all times. Bushveld Safari - R250 per person - 2-hour activity.
Game Drive - Experience the bush as it awakes early in the morning or late afternoon before they get ready for bed, animals to view is Waterbuck, Zebra, Impala, Nyala, Kudu, Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Gemsbok, Giraffe, Ostrich, Warthog, Steenbok, Jackal, Honey Badger, Mongoose, Civet, Genet, Brown Hyena, African Wild Caracal, Aardvark and Aardwolf. Excellent for bird viewing and photography. R295 per person - 2 hours - Includes a refreshment stop.
Barge Cruise - Cruise along the banks of the Vaalkop Dam either early morning with coffee or late afternoon with a cocktail. The dam offers a wide variety of bird species for your viewing pleasure. R235 per person - 2-hour activity including driving time - refreshments on board.
Bush Walks - A bush walk does not have to be guided, we have no dangerous game. It is however suggested to book a ranger for a walk to show you the smaller more interesting things in the bush which you can only experience on foot. It is a great activity for photography and bird watching. Guided - R65 per person - 1-hour walk.
Fishing - Vaalkop Dam has a variety of fish, from Carp, Brim and Barbell. Fishing can be enjoyed of the banks of the dam. Please bring along your own fishing equipment and bait. Free Activity.
Mountain Biking - The property is 450 hectares and have 23 km of roads that can thrill any mountain bike enthusiast. A map of the property is available at reception. Please bring your own bike.
Games Room - Our games room has a dart board and a snooker table. Enjoy a game of chess on a lazy afternoon or a round of billiards while having drinks at the bar next door. Free activities, refundable deposit charged.
