Fossil Hills is situated on the farm Thornvilla in the Breede Valley between Robertson and McGregor. Thornvilla has been producing wine sine 1950 and has been in the Naud family for 3 generations and is currently a working wine farm.

Forming part of the McGregor Winery, grapes, plums, appricots and various vegitables are harvested each year by Botha and his two sons, Jacob and Anthon.

The name Fossil Hills, comes from the fossils that were and are still found on the farm which date back to the fish age of 355 million years ago.

Come and enjoy the peace and quietness of staying on a working wine farm near the most beautiful town in the Western Cape, McGregor. Here life is slow, tranquil and gentle.

Fossil Hills Cottage
Up on the hillside with great views over the farm and valley, Fossil Hills Cottage is a cozy stone cottage with thatched roof. As one frazzled parent proposes, I could watch my kids cycling for hours on the many farm tracks below us. Maybe you should follow suit and earn some well-deserved R&R on the covered stoep.

Pinotage House
Previously the venue of Eseltjies Rus a Donkey sanctuary and restaurant just outside McGregor, this 5 bedroom main house and 3 bedroom annex has been transformed into a beautiful self-catering home. Idealy suited for families, reunions and wedding accommodation that can accommodate up to 16 people.

Aloe Cottage
The Aloe Cottage is situated on Thornvilla wine farm, just 3 km from the quaint little village of McGregor. Experience the great Boland Wine Farm atmosphere with peaceful surroundings and lots of things to do and see nearby. From the private patio you have a beautiful.

The Lavender Cottage
The Lavender Cottage is situated on Thornvilla wine farm, just 3 km from the quaint little village of McGregor. From the front veranda you have a beautiful view over the vineyards as well as the McGregor Winery, McGregor town on to the Riviersonder End Mountains. There is also an indoor braai or fireplace as well as outdoor fire and braai facilities.
