Green Park Lodge

Situated centrally in Mthatha, Green Park Lodge offers quality and well-appointed accommodation for the discerning traveler.

Just off the main road, Green Park Lodge is as its name refers, a spot of tranquillity and beauty within a bustling metropolis. This 48 roomed Lodge is divided into 2 properties, namely 3 and 13 Park Rd, Green Park Lodge and Green Park Annexe. Our beautiful gardens, well manicured lawns and the resulting bird life makes Green Park Lodge a restful sanctuary, easy to forget the sprawling city of Mthatha surrounds us.

Green Park Lodge was opened in April 2006 and is aimed at the discerning traveller who requires more than what a standard B&B establishment or guesthouse would offer. We offer free wireless internet, so after your stressful day; you can relax in the garden, lounge or around the spa pool and wrap up your day in peace and comfort.

3 Park Road consists of 23 bedrooms, with an additional 25 bedrooms at 13 Park Rd (Commonly known as Green Park Annexe)

Unfortunately, as we know the infrastructures of Mthatha can sometimes be challenging, but we endeavour to take this on ourselves, and keep your stay stress free. Our B&B is back-up generator powered, for those unforeseen power failures. We have 40 000l of water in our tanks and all the water to come into the premises is filtered for your peace of mind.

Green Park Lodge is centrally located with a few minutes drive to shopping, facilities restaurants and the famous Nelson Mandela Museum.

All rooms are en suite, with private entrances. On site secure parking is available for all guests. Remote access is provided with your keys.

Irons and ironing boards are conveniently situated in outdoor cupboards for easy and 24hour access.

We offer a full English breakfast from 7am - 8:30am, cooked to order, but take away breakfast packs are also available on request.

Our dining room hosts the dinner service as well, and a 2 course dinner is available on request between 6pm-7.30pm, with take aways as an option as well.

Most of our rooms are air-conditioned, but there are some standard rooms available with ceiling fans only. All rooms have electric blankets and panel heaters

All rooms have DSTV, with the following channels:
- SABC 1, 2, 3 and E-TV
- TBN
- M-net
- MM1 and MM2
- SS1, SS2 and SS3

Several of the rooms have microwaves and fridges.

Each room is fitted with a queen size bed (apart from the 3 twin rooms with single beds) and each bed is dressed in a luxury feather duvet with feather pillows. Spare blankets are also provided.
