Guests can self drive (standard vehicle rental agreement applies) or stay at our Gypsy Haven, which is close enough to walk to the village of Clarens centre but far enough way for peace and quiet. Hammocks, bean bags and swings encourage relaxing in the garden and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

Clarens is 3.5 hours from OR Thambo international airport and 20 minutes away from the spectacular Golden Gate National Park.
It is centrally located in South Africa, and a great starting point for the beginning of an epic road trip.

Delilah the Dreamer is a VW Vintage Autovilla. She is a grand old dame. You can sleep in her at Gypsy Haven, as per prices quoted, or you can drive within a 100km radius. She is fully equipped with everything you need, especially a liberal dose of Gypsy Boho Flamboyant décor and finishes. Or you can drive her away on a road trip to destinations of your choice. Customised quote will be sent.
Tilly the Flamingo is the most unique camper van ever. She is bright, modern and quirky. She comes fully equipped ready for you to take her on your dream road trip adventure. All you need to pack is your food and clothes. You can stay at our Gypsy Haven camp site - as per prices quoted. Or you can drive her away on a road trip to destinations of your choice. Customised quote will be sent.
- 50% Deposit to confirm booking. Balance due on or before arrival
- 100% Deposit for one night booking. One night stay not refundable
- Forfeit 100% of total booking fee, if guest cancels less than 7 days before arrival
- Forfeit 100 % of deposit, if guest cancels less than 14 days before arrival
- Forfeit 50% of deposit, if guest cancels less than 21 days before arrival
- Forfeits 25% of deposit, if guest cancels less than 30 days before arrival

CAMPER VAN HIRE : Self drive road trip - options are quoted on request. Various factors effect daily rental price. Requirements for camper van self drive hire:
* Valid drivers licence. Min of 5 years driving experience.
* Driver over 23 years of age
* Driver needs valid credit card with sufficient funds to cover insurance excess
* Self drive in South Africa only
* Minimum hire - 2 days (collection before 1 pm)
The Cancellation Policy may differ for promotions and high seasons. Regrettably camp site is not pet or wheelchair friendly. Due to the nature of our property, only children over the age of 10 years allowed. Self-drive in Tilly all ages welcome. Self drive in Delilah kids over over 8 years. If you are planning/celebrating a special event/getaway please let us know, as we would love to make more special for you.
Our village is peaceful, so we request no parties, functions or extra guests on property.
