Knysna is a holiday paradise, with special attractions, good food, outdoor activities and shopping opportunities to please every temperament. The Heads offer panoramic views of the town and lagoon from various view sites, whilst a ferry ride across the water promises an enjoyable day at Featherbed Bay Nature Reserve, on the Western Head. Enjoy Knysna’s famous oysters at one of many rustic taverns, along with our own, locally brewed draught beer.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 998 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.
A 50% deposit is requested to guarantee the reservation within 48 hours of making the booking. If booked only one night or within 30 days to date of arrival, full payment is required as deposit. The remaining balance of the accommodation is requested 30 days prior to the date of arrival. Should payment not be stipulated, Head over Hills reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Special conditions apply if more than 50% of the total amount of rooms are booked. Payment can be made by EFT or credit card. All extras are to be settled on departure by guests. Rates quoted are per room per night and include breakfast. We allow a maximum of 2 people per room. No children under the age of 12 are allowed. Prices quoted are in South African Rand (ZAR). Prices are inclusive of 15% VAT. Any quote depends on availability at the time of acceptance. The rates and T&C’s can change at any time without further notice. Please note that Christmas lunch on 24 December and New Year’s dinner on 31 December are mandatory and will be charged in the relevant rates for those evenings. If you choose not to attend these functions, unfortunately there will be no refund.
By flight: Nearest airport is George, which is located about 50 minutes drive from Knysna. Airport transfer is available on request.
By car: From Cape Town: Follow the N2 Highway to Knysna Travel through Knysna Town on the Main Road Turn right into George Rex Drive towards the Heads Pass the offramp to Pezula and turn left into Coney Glen Hills Follow the “Head over Hills” signs Turn into the long driveway lined with flags From Port Elizabeth: Follow the N2 Highway to Knysna Drive on the Main Road that is entering to Knysna After the long down hill, turn left into George Rex Drive towards the Heads and Pezula Pass the offramp to Pezula and turn left into Coney Glen Hills Follow the “Head over Hills” signs Turn into the long driveway lined with flags
