The Hottentots Mountain View Guest House is aptly named. Situated at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, with fantastic views over the famous Hottentots Holland Mountain range and nature reserve, this spot is hard to beat.
Close to many sites of interest including Cape point, Cape Town, the Garden route, Hermanus and Stellanbosch itfs also an excellent base from which to explore the whole Cape area.

A sumptuous breakfast buffet will be served every morning between 08.00 and 10.00 in the new garden room or on the roof terrace with its stunning views.

Garden View Room:
This airconditioned room has top quality luxury bed with a king size foam mattress to guarantee you a comfortable nightfs sleep.

The Pool and the Garden:
Relax in the Guest House`s luxuriant garden, with its palm trees and charmingly gnarled olives. Winding paths connect the different areas of the property, offering splendid views at every turn.
In summer, what could be nicer than soaking up the warmth of the sun on a comfortable lounger within dropping distance of the water? All rooms have easy access to the garden and the pool, and two of our rooms open directly onto.
We are situated at the start of the wine route which gives easy access to other Cape Wineland towns like Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.
"This oasis of peace and tranquility" is ideally located to explore the Cape Peninsula and the Western Cape. A 5 minutes drive takes us to the white sandy beach from False Bay, 15 minutes to Stellenbosch, 20 minutes to Cape Town International Airport and 40 minutes to Cape Town Table mountain and Cape Town city centre. This charming guest house is also surrounded by many top quality Wine-estates and World Famous Golf Courses. "Vergelegen wine-estate" (one of the oldest and most imposing wine estates in the country, the camphor trees have been declared a national monument and the extensive grounds are delightful) and "Erinvale Golf Estate" are both in Lourensford Road, at 2 km from our guesthouse.
Road Directions from N2 Cape Town international airport :
- Take the N2 towards Somerset West, then exit 43 for Somerset West / Stellenbosch R44;
- Turn left at the traffic lights;
- Turn right at the second set of lights, this puts you on Main Road;
- After 4 set of lights, turn left into Lourensford Road;
- Drive straight on at the first roundabout;
- Turn left at the second roundabout for Mountain Road;
- Turn left at the T junction on Reservoir Road;
- Turn right at the stopping street, into Oldenland Road;
- Hottentots View Guest House is to your left, 200 m up the road.
