When building Iketla Lodge, minimal impact of development on the natural environment, was of the utmost importance. The result being a comfortable retreat set amidst nature in its purest form. The surroundings and infrastructure add to the overall feel of relaxation and tranquility.
Iketla Lodge offers a very informal and relaxed environment. By limiting guests to 18 per day, we guarantee exceptional personal service and a total experience which we trust our guests will remember for many years.
Iketla literally means be relaxed and the facilities at the lodge encourage guests to do exactly that. A central thatched area houses the lounge, dining area and bar. It has stunning views of the surrounding mountains. An open sundeck overlooks the sparkling pool.
Enjoy the natural scenery, large variety of birds or even spot wild animals that roam freely in the area.
Rates include a Continental / English breakfast served in the dining area as well as a three course dinner. A light lunch at nominal cost, is available between 13:00 and 14:00 and can be ordered from the lunch menu.
Iketla Lodge is situated a mere 4 hours drive from Johannesburg, en-route to the Kruger National Park and many private game reserves and lodges.
You design your own programme! Rest, relax, dip in the pool, or take a walk. The hiking trails are well marked and safe. You are welcome to explore these on your own or in the company of our guide. Various routes have been marked and they vary in length from about 30 minutes to a few hours. Horse Riding can be arranged on arrival at an extra fee.
