Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa
Please note that the Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa is not suitable for elderly people who may experience some difficulty in walking!
The Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa is private and exclusive; a spacious open-plan apartment offering luxury accommodation in Hermanus catering for two guests at a time; whether you are looking for a romantic honeymoon destination or just a special location for a quiet week end away, Kennedy`s is the place for you!
This unique villa has a lovely beach view from the little outside balcony.
The Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa offers a Louis XIV Queen size bed with quality linen and a small Victorian style bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. Complimentary “Charlotte Rhys” toiletries are included. Guests in the Villa have exclusive use of an “open-air” Victorian bath hidden away in the Milkwood forest. Aromatherapy massages can be enjoyed under the Milkwood trees at an additional cost. (Pre-booking essential.)
Kennedys Beach Villa
The Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa also offers a small sunken kitchenette ideal for preparing light meals. Private Braai/ Barbecue facilities are available.
There are several seating areas available for dining and relaxation. Full-length windows let in generous amounts of sunlight, while at night the fireplace generates coziness and warmth, 1st bundle of wood free of charge, thereafter wood can be bought from James.
A billiards table, a TV with selected DSTV channels and a DVD Player are provided for your entertainment.
No marble tops or plasma screens are available at the Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa, just romantic old style living with a touch of luxury and charm ideal for nature lovers. If you are looking for an exclusive honeymoon destination or romantic anniversary spot Kennedy`s is the place for you. Guests can enjoy the sounds of nature and the Onrus lagoon on your doorstep complimented by beautiful scenery and the tranquillity of the Milkwood forest.
The Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa offers charming outdoor spaces. The Milkwood forest begins right outside the doors of “The Lagoon Villa” and stretches all the way to the lagoon leading to a private garden area overlooking Onrus Lagoon and Beach available to “The Lagoon Villa” guests only. Last, but not least, Onrus Beach is just a 4-minute walk away from Kennedy`s. Canoes also available.
During the High/Peak season we also have the quaint little Garden Cottage available, only 10 metres away from “The Lagoon Villa”. Two single beds with coffee & tea tray, shower, toilet and wash basin. This can only be used by our guests in “The Lagoon Suite”, should they have children over 12 or a granny in their group. (Additional cost.)
The Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa also offers you the opportunity to take your pet on holiday! We are pleased to let you know that we welcome one pet in our pet-friendly (No more than 1 pet!) self catering “Lagoon Villa” situated on the edge of the Onrus Lagoon. “The Lagoon Villa” offers direct access to a spacious garden where you can walk your dog and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Onrus River.
Onrus River is a short drive from Hermanus, the whale capital of South Africa and offers a wide variety of hotels, luxury guest houses, bed and breakfast spots as well as self-catering establishments, however few places allow pets. Onrus River offers the ideal location to walk your dog, a quiet and friendly neighbourhood with plenty of outdoor spaces.
Please kindly adhere to our pet-friendly rules:
- No more than one pet allowed at Kennedys
- No pets allowed on our furniture
- No aggressive dogs and no barkers
- The garden is not enclosed, so please use a leash
- Doggie damages will be for your own account
- Please bring a doggie-bed
The Honeymoon / Lagoon Villa is not suitable for people having difficulty walking due to the stairs at the entrance of the Lodge.
The Beach Suite
The romantic Beach Suite with its sweeping ocean views offers luxury accommodation, cosy evenings in the sunken Jacuzzi on the spacious deck overlooking Onrus River & Beach and fantastic whale watching in season.
The Beach Suite is romantic and luxurious offering a Queen Size bed with quality percale linen overlooking a spacious sun deck and Jacuzzi promising spectacular mountain and sea views over Onrus River & Beach! En-suite bathroom with a Victorian bath, toilet and basin - unfortunately no shower available. Added luxuries include a mini-bar fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, microwave and crockery as well as a TV with selected DSTV channels. (No cooking facilities). Nearest restaurant a 4 minute walk from Kennedy`s.
The Beach Suite is ideal for loving couples looking for a romantic honeymoon destination or anniversary spot with the beach just a few minutes away.

From Cape Town To Onrus River Beach:
- Take the N2 from Cape Town in the direction of George. After approximately 85 km, take the R43 towards Hermanus/Kleinmond.
- After approximately 20 km, once you have passed Fisherhaven and Hawston, turn right towards Vermont/Onrus.
Within Onrus River Beach:
- Having turned off the R43, turn left into Main Road. At the second four-way stop, turn right into Van Blommenstein Street.
- At the second junction, continue left into Beach Road.
At the fourth junction, turn left into Disa Street. You will find Kennedy's Beach Villa at 5, Disa Street.
