Nestled within the heart of the Balule North Reserve, Kingly Bush Camp epitomises the enduring charm of an authentic safari experience. Surrounded by the Greater Kruger’s Big 5 territory, this rustic-tented retreat beckons those seeking the essence of a classic safari amidst the untamed beauty of the African wilderness.
Each of the sturdy tents is built on a raised platform, with a private patio. Private en-suite bathrooms are open-air and have an outdoor shower and washbasin. There is nothing more freeing than showering out in the open, in the middle of the wilderness. Each tent is carpeted for warmth and has a twin bed set-up complete with bedside tables, and modern rugs for a touch of elegance.
A full-board meal plan is included in the rate. The camp overlooks a small but busy waterhole, while the main area provides the perfect place to catch up in the rustic dining area, or around the small splash pool. True to form, there’s an intimate firepit area where many nights are spent chatting around the campfire.
Kingly Bush Camp is built around a floodlit waterhole frequented by buffalo, elephants, leopards and various plains game. Solar is used to power lights, fans, Wi-Fi and charging devices.
