Komkyk Touwsriver is your gate to the Karoo as well as the Winelands.

Situated on the N1 at Touws River, we offer you an oasis to refuel, refresh and relax.

Komkyk Touwsriver offers a wide variety of facilities and activities. Friendly prompt service at the BP Fuel station. Come and sit down in our affordable yet delectable Restaurant or take something for the road.

Browse our Farm Stall & Wine Boutique for gifts, jams and superb wines. Nobody can go on a long journey without munching on some biltong and dro wors.

If it is rest you need, we offer you comfortable, clean tastefully furnished Accommodation. A recent addition to our facilities is a Caravan park under shaded trees.

On site we have a 24/7 convenience shop for your every need.

Komkyk Restaurant and Take-Aways:
Wholesome country meals prepared with KAROO love. Try our mouth-watering dishes on the go take-aways or laid back sit down meals. Ask our barista about our wide range of coffees. Scrumptious burgers with homemade patties- beef, chicken or kudu. Our gourmet ciabata burger with bacon, avo & cheese is to die for! You will stop again and again for the crumbed chicken portions. A selection of freshly baked produce, i.e. cakes, muffins, scones, sweet treats are served daily. We also do healthy wraps, banting and vegetarian meals. Specials: Pizza Friday, Sunday lunches (meat, starch, veggies, roast potatoes & pudding). We cater for special occasions- our restaurant has as semi-private dining area.

Self-Catering Chalets
Fully equipped, furnished chalets, open plan with kitchenette, lounge and braai facilities (SC4-6) Self-catering chalets, ideal for families of 3 or 4, requiring self-catering facilities.
Beds: Single, double, sleeper couch with closet space.
Bathrooms: En-suite shower, basin and toilet.
Kitchenette and Dining area: All necessary crockery, cutlery, utensils and appliances as well as television with limited hotel bouquet DSTV channels, (Movies, Sport and SABC channels) are provided.
Outdoors: Braai facilities, patio and outdoor seating.
Chalets are serviced daily; bedding and towels are provided, all chalets have air-conditioning.
Travelling with kids: We provide for all your needs. Travelling with pets: We are pet friendly, but must be prearranged with management.

Guest Rooms
Private rooms with en-suite bathrooms (1-3) Our 3 guest rooms are ideal for couples or single travellers, requiring a comfortable bed and privacy.
Room description: These rooms are equipped with either a double bed, OR single bed(s).
Bedding and towels are provided. The rooms have extra blankets for the chilly winter evenings and closet space. The double rooms have air-conditioning, and the single room has a fan provided, for relief in the Karoo heat.
Bathrooms: En-suite shower, basin and toilet.
All rooms have basic tea/coffee making facilities, a microwave, small fridge and a flat screen television with limited hotel bouquet DSTV channels. (Movies, Sport and SABC channels).
These rooms are situated on ground level, with secure parking close to your room.
Braai facilities are available.
All rooms are serviced daily. Kindly note: Our rooms are non-smoking.
Traveling with kids: We provide for all your needs. Traveling with pets: We are pet friendly, but must be prearranged with management.

Self-Catering Rooms
These are private rooms based upstairs, with en-suite bathrooms and kitchenettes (SC 14, 15) Our 2 self-catering rooms are ideal for a couple or single travellers requiring self-catering facilities.
Room description: Single OR double beds. The rooms have closet space, extra blankets for the chilly winter evenings and either a fan or air-conditioning for the Karoo heat.
Bathrooms: En-suite shower, basin and toilet.
Kitchenette & Dining area: Equipped with a dining table for 2, microwave, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, 2 burner stove (with oven), and a television with limited hotel bouquet DSTV channels. (Movies, Sport and SABC channels).
Our rooms are serviced daily, bedding and towels are provided.
Kindly note: These rooms are on the 2nd floor, up a stairway.

Family Room
This is a family style room, with kitchenette & en-suite bathroom (FR4) Self-catering room ideal for a family, requiring basic self-catering facilities.
Room description: One double, and 2 single beds. The room has airconditioning, extra blankets for the chilly winter evenings and closet space. All rooms are serviced daily.
Bathroom: En-suite shower, basin and toilet.
Kitchenette & Dining area: Equipped with a dining table for 4, microwave, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, 2 burner stove (with oven), and a television with limited hotel bouquet DSTV channels. (Movies, Sport and SABC channels).
These rooms are situated on ground level, with secure parking close to your room. Braai facilities are available.

Backpackers Rooms
If all you need is a bed, and you dont mind sharing facilities, these rooms are ideal for your stay (B8-12) Economic rooms with twin beds.
Basic accommodation ideal for backpackers, or travellers requiring low cost overnight facilities which are neat and clean. Kindly note: up a stairway.
Room description: Five (5) backpacker rooms are furnished with 2 single beds and has closet space. Extra blankets are provided.
Bathrooms: 2 x communal showers with basins, and 2 x communal toilet facilities.
Kitchen: There is a communal kitchen, equipped with a microwave, kettle, 2 x fridges, and both electric and gas stove-top burners.
Lounge & Dining area: A communal lounge and dining area, with a television showing local television channels only (SABC 1,2,3 & e-tv).
Rooms are serviced daily; bedding and towels are provided.
Additional beds can be added on request.
All rooms and communal areas are non-smoking.

Camping Sites
Relax under shade in the tranquil Karoo Twenty (20) camp sites equipped with electrical power points, portable braais with grid, refuse bins as well as clean running water close by.
Four (4) persons allowed per site, with an option to pay an additional fee for a maximum of 6 persons.
Ablution blocks for ladies and gents (key deposit).
Communal dishwashing facilities are available; Laundry services can be arranged on request.
Exceptions to check-in/check-out times to be arrange.
