Kromrivier Farm - Looking to experience nature, the farm and all its splendor, in the utmost comfort? Morado is a newly renovated luxury self-catering cottage overlooking its own private dam. This private space has the most incredible views of the mountain and grain fields, as well as direct access to the Hartbeesberg hiking/4x4 trail.
Morado is designed to cater for every need and comfort. A queen size bed with Egyptian cotton linen awaits you. The en-suite bathroom has a free-standing bath and open shower in front of large windows, so you can soak up the views during the day and stars at night. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, gas stove and oven. All utensils, cutlery and crockery are supplied. Large sliding doors open up to the garden where you can enjoy a private braai area overlooking the dam. Light the indoor fireplace at night to keep you warm and cosy on cooler nights. Wifi is available if you would like Netflix and chill or just to connect to the outside world. If you would like to bring your fur baby with please enquire first to see if we can accommodate them.
If a back to basics, rustic farm experience is what you are looking for, the Oak Lodge is for you. Situated at the foot of the Riviersonderend Mountain Range, this lodge is an old renovated farm cottage. If you are looking for a quiet space to reconnect with nature this is the place to visit.
For the true rustic experience, at the Oak Lodge, lanterns and fire pits light things up in the evening. Although there is no electricity, there is a gas fridge/freezer and we supply power banks to charge phones, tablets and laptops. The private Ladies and Gents bathrooms are outside and a fire warmed outdoor geyser warms up the water for the showers and the Jacuzzi. There is ample space around the lodge, so on a particularly starry night you are welcome to camp out on the lawn as well. We will supply all the wood needed for heating the outdoor geyser.
Close to Greyton, which is full of restaurants, hiking routes and has a Saturday morning market.

This cottage is designed to accommodate two guests. A queen size bed with Egyptian cotton linen. The bathroom has a bath and open shower in front of large windows. All bathroom essentials, soaps and luxuries are supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, gas stove and oven. Private braai area overlooking the dam. Light the indoor fireplace at night to keep you warm and cosy on cooler nights. Free Wifi is available.
Sirene rustic farmstyle house, fully equipt with all the basics you’ll need. Sleeps 12 people, and comes equipped with linen and towels. Lanterns and fire pits lights things up in the evening. No electricity, but the lodge has a gas stove and gas fridge/freezer. Bathrooms are situated outside with a fire-warmed geyser for hot showers and the jacuzzi. Wood for warming up the geyser will be supplied.
- Deposit must be paid within 24 hours of making the booking to confirm dates.
- Remainder of rate must be paid 14 days prior to arrival.
- Forfeit 100% of total if cancelled 7 days before arrival (or less).
- Forfeit 50% of total if cancelled 21 days before arrival.
- Forfeit 0% of total if cancelled 30 days before arrival.
General Indemnity
While every care has been taken by Kromrivier Farm to ensure the safety of our guests and their possessions during their stay, the owners, managers and workers do not accept any liability in the event that any loss, injury, accident or damage to persons or property is experienced by our guests.
Cancellation Policy
For all Cottages, 100% of the total amount must be paid to confirm your booking. Full refund for cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival and 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival. Payment is not refundable if cancellation is made less than 14 days before date of arrival.
For the campsite, 100% of the total amount must be paid to confirm your booking. Full refund for cancellations more than 7 days prior to arrival. Payment is not refundable if cancellation is made less than 7 days before date of arrival.
Valuables
Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers do not accept any liability for loss or damage to any valuables belonging to guests. The safety of all personal valuables is the sole responsibility of the guests.
Outdoor activities
Any guests making use of outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, swimming in the rivers or dams and 4x4’ing, do so entirely at their own risk. All guests therefore indemnify Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers, in full. Guest shall have no claim of whatsoever nature against Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers, including claims for any form of injury, sickness, bodily harm, death and/or loss or damage of property which could rise from the use of these activities.
Wildlife areas
Guests acknowledge and understand the real hazards and risks associated with wildlife areas, including snakes, spiders and the possibility of wild animals. All guests therefore indemnify Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers, in full, shall injury, sickness, bodily harm and/or death which could rise from the unforeseen interaction with such wildlife.
Minors
Minors are the sole responsibility of the parents, guardians, or the persons in whose care they are in while staying at Kromrivier Farm or while using its facilities. Children under the age of 16 may not participate in any outdoor or water- based activity without the supervision of an adult (older than 18 years old).
Smoking
For the comfort of our guests, Kromrivier Farm is a strictly non-smoking accommodation establishment except for outside guest areas. Under no circumstances will there be smoking in the mountain, along the hiking or 4x4 routes.
Pets
Oak Lodge, Trout Cottage and Campsite - We regret that all pets are strictly not permitted at the Oak Lodge, Trout Cottage or Campsites. We reserve the right to remove any guests who bring pets. Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers do not accept any liability for said animals if they are on the premises or surrounds. The guests are fully responsible for any damage to the property or livestock incurred by said animal/pet.
Morado - if arrangement has been made for a pet to come along, Kromrivier Farm, the owners, managers, and workers do not accept any liability for said animals when they are on the premises or surrounds. The guests are fully responsible for any damage to the property or livestock incurred by said animal/pet.
Noise Policy
We regret that all electronic music and percussion instruments of any kind are banned. Loud noise does not fit into the atmosphere of peace and tranquility. We ask that campers please respect fellow campers. There is a LOW NOISE POLICY from 10pm around the campsite. We reserve the right to remove any campers who act inappropriately or do not follow our noise guidelines.
Firearms
For the safety of all concerned, firearms are not permitted to be kept on the premises.
Fruit
The fruit on Kromrivier Farm are periodically sprayed with pest controlling chemicals. Do not pick and eat before asking if the withholding period of the chemical has passed.
Loss or damage to Kromrivier Farm
Should Kromrivier Farm suffer any loss or damage as a result of an act or omission by a guest, the guest, visitor or visitor of a guest, will remain liable for full reimbursement of such loss or damage incurred and will be billed accordingly.
Right of Admission Reserved
Kromrivier Farm at all times reserves the full right of admission and accepts no liability for any loss or damage experienced by guests that may result from the legal and reasonable exercising of such rights.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival for the campsites, Oak Lodge, Trout Cottage and Morado is between 14:00 – 19:00. The accommodations should be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure.
