Kumbagana Game Lodge is situated on the northern slopes of the Magaliesberg Mountain, only one and a half hours from Gauteng and half hour from Hartbeespoortdam - and is approximately 15 km from the Buffelspoort dam.
A variety of game can be seen on this piece of paradise like Common Duiker, Kudu, Nyala, Giraffe, Zebra, Sable, Waterbok, Gemsbok, Eland, Blouwildebees, Rooihartbees, Springbok, Blesbok, Jackal, Monkeys and Baboons to name but a few.
We offer you the chance to come and relax in our little piece of paradise. We can accommodate any of your needs, from accommodation and conference meetings, to a wedding venue and boma, for those unforgettable gatherings. Bring the whole family or your loved one, for a picnic and enjoy the beauty of our untouched nature. We also cater for Team Building exercises, School camps, and any other function you may require. Accommodation at Kumbagana Game Lodge: All wooden cabins offer accommodation for up to 4 people.
The main bed is situated in the open plan and two bunk beds in a seperate private room. Open plan kitchen with toaster, kettle, mini 2-plate stove and oven as well as all items needed for self-catering regarding crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.
Each unit has its own personal veranda with one carport per chalet as well as individual braai areas for each chalet. Bed linen and towels provided. Please bring own swimming towels.

Picnics From green luscious lawns to open veld surroundings, either bring your loved one or the whole family to enjoy a good old fashioned picnic. We offer picnic baskets with the most delicious treats for everyone's taste. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Game Drives With our professional rangers and breath taking surroundings this is something not to be missed. To make your trip a good one we have the option to add a picnic basket and refreshments. Unfortunately no game drives are allowed with own vehicles, but we have regular drives and promise that you will not miss out on anything. Game drives must please be booked in advance at reception.

School Camps and Team Building Our Black Eagle Group Camp offers accommodation for max up to 27 people and is ideal for school Camps or Team building. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, Boma braai facility as well as 3 separate bathrooms for men and woman. The rooms consist out of several bunk beds each. Please note that bedding will be provided.
Conferences and Year End Functions Whether you visit us for a meeting, conference or party we have the perfect setting. In our conference hall we can accommodate up to 100 people, our conference hall includes tables and chairs as well as a projector and screen. We also have a spectacular Boma and Braai Facility which can accommodate up to 300 people for any occasion. The Boma has a separate outside bar which can be booked additionally, whether you want to just have a braai or a sit down Boma Dinner under the stars, you will not be disappointed. For any occasion we offer catering on request.
Weddings We offer the following for your choice of most memorable wedding venues: Wedding Packages Packages can be arranged to suit specific wishes and vary from an unforgettable sundowner with champagne and snacks in the middle of the bush, to an elegant reception with silver cutlery and white starched linen in our beautiful formal hall. We recommend that you book the lodge on exclusive use, so that we can ensure that our full attention is devoted to your function. It can be as glamorous or as understated as you wish. Consideration needs to be given to weather and the fact that we are in a Game Lodge so certain restrictions apply. Ministers from most denominations are easily accessible, as are photographers, cakes, hairdressers and florists. Special menus and dining venues can be allocated when the lodge is booked exclusively. All you need to do is sit back, relax and leave it all up to us while you enjoy messages at our neighbors, Sparkling Waters, sunset cocktails and game drives. Clothing and Accessories:
What should I pack? - sun block, sunglasses, wide brimmed hat, insect repellent, lip salve - light t-shirts as well as blouses/shirts with long sleeves (even in summer as they will protect you from the sun and from mosquitoes) - khaki, green, beige and neutral colours – dull and/or neutral colours are suitable for safari, white is not practical. It is best to pack hardy, durable clothing - shorts or a light skirt - cotton pants, jeans or safari trousers for evenings and cooler days - fleece or sweater and a warm jacket for game drives (necessary, even in summer) - comfortable walking shoes - track suit - good for sleeping in during winter months - light, compact raincoat is a good idea for the summer - swimsuit for the swimming pool - binoculars and a camera are a must
