Langdam in Koo Cottages

Langdam-in-Koo Cottages is a Guest Farm 38 km from Montagu on the R318 `fruit route`. We offer self-catering cottages/suites or camping and caravans.

Our suites and cottages sleep between 2-8 guests and our campsite can accommodate up to 42 guests. At our main dam there is a lapa where guests can braai, watch the birds (geese, ducks, peacocks, turkeys), swim, fish for bass, row a boat or swim on rubber tubes. We also have chickens and pigs and emus and a black sheep that children love.
We are not pet friendly. We have too many very tame birds and animals and there are also buck and porcupine and rabbits on the farm.

We have something for everyone. This is a wonderful place for people who have an interest in photography, painting, hiking and mountain biking, stargazing, fishing and relaxing.

Our accommodation is open plan, self catering & fully equipped. Each cottage/suite has an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai area with wonderful views over the Koo valley or orchards.

Our campsite is in a natural pine forest and each site has electricity, a braai area, shade and grass. Bring your tents, caravans, sleeping bags and sleep under the stars. There are hot showers and a sheltered cabin where all campers can braai and entertain.

Bring along:
Your mountain bike, strong shoes and gumboots for walking in the orchards or hiking the Langeberg mountain, your swimwear and fishing gear for the dams, your camera & anything else you can think of because you are sure to to have a wonderful stay with us, doing as much or as little as you wish.

Accommodation at Langdam in Koo Cottages:
Pear Tree cottage
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people, with one double bed and two built-in-bunks. It is fully equipped with bedding, crockery, and cutlery. Open plan sleeping, living area and kitchen Fully equipped kitchen with 2 plate gas stove and fridge. En-suite bathroom (with shower). Built-in fireplace and outdoor braai on balcony with wonderful views over the dam and orchards. Bring your own dstv decoder - flat screen television and dish available. Sorry, no pets allowed due to all the tame animals on the farm and numerous ducks and geese. No smoking is allowed in the cottage.

Apricot Suite
The Apricot Suit is attached to the original old farm house but with its own private entrance and balcony. It boasts lovely views over a garden and catches the morning sun. This is a very romantic honeymoon suite. It is equipped with a 4 poster bed, free-standing bath, double shower, fully equipped kitchen including micro-wave. Bedding and towels are included. There is an indoor fire-place and outside braai area. It is extremely secure, private and very peaceful. The bathroom overlooks the Langeberg mountains and has lovely views. This is a fully equipped self catering luxury suite.

Apple cabin
A rustic cabin with fantastic views over the Koo valley. Apple cabin sleeps 2- 8 and has an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai area. There is an equipped kitchenette and there are 2 shower bathrooms. Sit on the veranda and relax with a glass of wine or explore the farm by walking through the orchards or bring your mountain bikes for wonderful trails with views. There are 2 separate bedrooms, on is en-suite with double bed and one with double bed and bunk bed. Bring your own dstv decoder.

Pine Tree cabin
A perfect cabin that is only available in winter. A place to escape the `winter-blues` with your friends and family. It sleeps 6 with a double in a loft and 2 bunk beds. With huge windows in a pine tree forest one feels one has escaped from the stresses of city life.

Almond Suite
Private suite with its own entrance and garden is part of the original farmhouse built in 1912. Views over the orchards and Langeberg mountains. This self catering suite has a fully equipped kitchen with bedding provided. The suite sleeps 2 5 people with a separate bedroom with double bed and open plan living area with a bunk bed and extra single bed. The bathroom has a luxurious free-standing bath and shower. There is an indoor fireplace with outdoor braai.

Guinea Fowl Cottage
Is a rustic cottage that is private and cosy. The cottage is away from the main farmhouse so very private and quiet. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. There is a fully fitted cosy kitchen with a dover stove and outside covered veranda with braai facilities. Guinea Fowl is set away from the main farm house with a lovely view over the Koo valley and mountains. Cottage sleeps 4. Bring your own dstv decoder - flat screen television available.
