Leopard Tree Lodge can accommodate up to 32 persons in our 9 Luxury self-catering Suites that are named after a few bird species that are to be found in St Lucia and the surrounding area. Our 9 spacious and comfortable Suites are ideal for families, couples, honeymooners, friends, groups and nature lovers.
Our rooms vary in size and our spacious rooms can sleep up to 6 persons. All our Suites have En-suite bathrooms and our rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, Flat screen Tv’s, Free Wifi, ceiling fans, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable beds. The Lodge has one honeymoon suite, which is located next to the swimming pool.

Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve is less than an hour’s drive and the Big 5 is to be found in this, oldest and 2nd biggest Game Reserve in South Africa.
Cape Vidal is close-by and is ideal for snorkeling, hiking, game drives, bird watching, wide-open beaches, breathtaking forests and scenic picnic spots.

Equipped with Twin beds that can be converted into a King Size bed (on request) + a Bunker bed & a sleeper coach. En-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Undercover wooden deck patio on the edge of the pool (Recommended to sleep only 4 persons).
Equipped with a Double bed & a sleeper coach. En-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Undercover wooden deck balcony. (Recommended occupancy is 2, but can sleep up to 4 persons if 2 kids below the ages of 12 share the sleeper coach).

Sparrow - Undercover seating area with a view of the garden and the entrance to the lodge. This unit is situated on the ground floor level, sleeps up to 4 persons (maximum 4 adults) and is equipped with a queen size bed and two single beds in the main bedroom and a sleeper couch in the lounge area. Shower only. Fully equipped Kitchen. Undercover patio with a private entrance.
Wagtail - Undercover seating area with a view of the garden and the entrance to the lodge. This unit is situated on the ground floor level, sleeps up to 4 persons (maximum 4 adults) and is equipped with a queen size bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the 2nd bedroom and a sleeper couch in the lounge area. Shower only. Fully equipped Kitchen. Undercover patio with a private entrance.
Weaver - undercover seating area with a view of the garden and the entrance to the lodge. This unit is situated on the ground floor level and is equipped with King Size Bed that can easily be converted into a twin beds upon request. A sleeper couch is further located in the lounge area. This unit is equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Fully equipped Kitchen. Undercover patio with a private entrance.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 999 days before arrival, forfeit 5% of the booking total.
- Check-in time: 14:00 to 18:00. Check-out time: 07:00 to 10:00. Contact the Lodge and inform us of your time of arrival. Contact the Lodge if arriving after 18:00 to make arrangements. No Check-in after 21:00 as nobody is available at the Lodge to do Check-ins, unless prior arrangements had been made with the Lodge Manager.
- No loud noise or parties of any nature will be allowed. No noise between 22:00 and 07:00 (Quiet hours).
- Our Lodge’s generator will operate in cases of power outages/load shedding between 07:00 and 22:00. The generator is not allowed to operate during quiet hours, which are from 22:00 to 07:00.
- Please respect other guests’ privacy and peace at all times.
- All refunds will be subject to a 5% admin fee in order to cover for bank transaction fees.
- Only Lodge guests allowed on the property. Right of admission reserved at all times.
- Guests are reminded to bring beach towels, beach ambarellas & insect repellents when visiting our Lodge. The Lodge’s bathroom towels are not for use by the pool area or to be taken to the beach under no circumstances.
From Johannesburg:
Take the N2 road to Witbank. Turn off to Ogies, pass through Bethal, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola. Continue south along the N2 past Mkuze
and Hluhluwe, Take the turn-off left to Mtubatuba and St Lucia (R618).
Follow this road until the first turn left (R618) to St Lucia (approximately 27km).
From Durban:
Take the N2 north you have the option of the toll road or the alternate route via Stanger.
40 kilometers after the turn-off to Richards bay, Take the turn-off right to Mtubatuba and St Lucia (R618). As you arrive in Mtubatuba, turn left at the stop street, then second right (R618) to St Lucia (approximately 27km).
When you arrive in the greater St. Lucia Wetland Park:
Pass over the bridge. Follow the road till you reach the traffic circle.
Turn left in McKenzie Street (this is the main street of St Lucia) then right into Beach road. Follow this road till you reach the second turn off right, into Kingfisher road. The first left is Garrick Road.
This road leads into Sandpiper Street. We are at number 7.
