Situated 45minutes drive from Graaff-Reinet. Letskraal Farm Accommodation consists of a farmhouse that is over 200 years old, the residence of Andries Pretoruis.
It has been restored to offer its visitors a historic and relaxing stay in the lovely Karoo. Although there is no electricity, the kitchen is fully equipped with a gas fridge, a gas stove, cutlery as well as tea and coffee facilities and guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table.
The lounge is furnished with a single divan, making the Farmhouse perfect for a big family or group of friends. The bathroom contains a donkey for a warm bath.
Guests are asked to bring along torches and please note that there is no phone reception on the farm.
Pets are welcome but please note that motorcycles, quads or any other noisy toys are not allowed. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities from walking, swimming, cycling and bird watching, to traditional South African braais.
Graaff-Reinet is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the oldest town in the province. It is also the sixth-oldest town in South Africa, after Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Simon’s Town, Paarl and Swellendam. The town was the centre of a short-lived republic in the late 18th century.[5] The town was a starting point for Great Trek groups led by Gerrit Maritz and Piet Retief and furnished large numbers of the Voortrekkers in 1835–1842. Graaff-Reinet is home to more national monuments than any other town or city in South Africa. It is also known for being a flourishing market for agricultural produce, noted for its mohair industry, and sheep and ostrich farming.

2. Take Allister Miller Dr and Forest Hill N/B Rd to Settlers Hwy/M4 in South End for 2.9 kilometers (4 minutes).
3. Head north on Airport W Rd for 49 meters.
4. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Allister Miller Dr. Go through 1 roundabout and travel 1.4 kilometers.
5. Turn left onto Forest Hill N/B Rd and drive 850 meters.
6. Use any lane to turn right onto Walmer Blvd/M9 and drive 600 meters.
7. Follow R75, R63, and N9/R61 for a total of 305 kilometers (3 hours and 12 minutes).
8. Use the middle lane to turn left onto Settlers Hwy/M4 (signs for R75/Grahamstown/Uitenhage) for 68 meters.
9. Keep right to continue on M4 and drive 6.7 kilometers.
10. Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 751B to merge onto N2 toward Grahamstown for 3.3 kilometers.
11. Take exit 754 for M3/John Tallant Road toward R102/M19/Swartkops/Uitenhage/Port Elizabeth for 400 meters.
12. Slight left toward John Tallant Rd/M3 and continue onto John Tallant Rd/M3 for 700 meters.
13. Turn right onto Grahamstown Rd/R102 and drive 850 meters.
14. Turn left onto Trunk Rd/R367 and continue to follow R367 for 13.6 kilometers.
15. Merge onto R75 and drive 7.6 kilometers.
16. Continue straight to stay on R75 for 202 kilometers.
17. Continue onto R63 for 23.1 kilometers.
18. Turn right onto N9/R61/R63 and drive 2.7 kilometers.
19. Turn right onto Caledon St/N9/R61/R63. Continue to follow Caledon St/N9/R61 for 300 meters.
