Lindisfarne B&B - Graded Three Star and situated on 2 acres of park like gardens, 40 km West of Durban, has become sought after by tourists and Corporates who want good hospitality, cleanliness, comfort and peace and quiet.
The main house was designed by a Dutch architect and built in 1956 as a family home which was passed down from father to son and remained in the family until 1997 when purchased by Jane and Paul with a view to running a B&B. Both being professional entertainers, they named the property Lindisfarne after the British Folk/Rock Group who were popular during the early 70’s.
Located in Bothas Hill in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa we are part of the Thousand Hills Experience Route T1 better known as The Comrades Route approximately 50 km from Durban Beachfront in the Hillcrest area.
Bothas Hill is known to have the third healthiest climate in the world and we are considerably cooler than Durban, it is advised some warm clothing always be brought, even in summer.
We have built our reputation over the years on excellent service (B`n B Sure Service Excellence award) a tasty breakfast and good conversation. We have accommodated some of the countries top entertainers and yes even a Cheetah. We look forward to welcoming you to our “Island of peace and tranquility”.

Accommodation at Lindisfarne B&B:
We have a variety of accommodation from self-catering cottages to a very upmarket executive suite, family room and double rooms. All rooms, cottages have Tea and Coffee, DSTV, Wi-fi in the main house only, heaters, fans and en-suite baths or showers.
Tyne Cottage
A delightful fully self contained cottage with own undercover parking and entrance. Sleeps 4 (1 double bed 2 single) has a fully equipped kitchen and can be B&B or Self catering. DSTV and Wi-fi.
The Studio
Bungalow style cottage with Queen bed, shower and small kitchenette. Very cosy for a relaxing weekend getaway or the business man who likes peace and quiet. DSTV and Wi-fi.
Room 1
Double room situated upstairs in the main house with King size or Twin beds. Sleeps 2 people. Shower en-suite. Free Wi-Fi, DSTV. Breakfast is extra.
Room 2
King size or twin beds sleeps 3 with extra single bed in small attached room - Tastefully decorated with bath and shower en-suite. Situated upstairs in the main house. Free Wi-Fi, DSTV. Breakfast is extra.
The Eleanore Suite
Luxury Executive suite for the discerning business man or travelers who want that little bit extra. Separate entrance, lounge, bedroom with king size or twin beds, extra single bed in the lounge if required so can sleep 2 or 3. Shower en-suite, DSTV Free Wi-Fi, mini Fridge. Breakfast is extra.
Lindisfarne B&B is close to Tala Valley Game Park, Phezulu, zulu dancing and crocodile & reptile farm, Giba Gorge, Horse riding, abundant bird life in our garden.
