Lion Tree Top Lodge

Lion Tree Top Lodge is situated in a private nature reserve in the heart of the game rich area, bordering the Kruger National Parks western boundary in Limpopo.

We are a small exclusive lodge offering a unique African experience. Our intimate private, luxury tented chalets, nestled in the tree tops have sunken baths, inside and outside showers and large decks. There are two air conditioned rooms in the main lodge and three en-suite tree houses with corner baths and outside showers. All accommodation offers a choice of king or twin beds.

Enjoy our informal relaxed atmosphere. Start the day with coffee and freshly baked rusks followed by a morning walk with our lions. After a sumptuous breakfast, simply laze around the pool, all the while keeping an eye on the waterhole. The afternoon bush walk with the lions will leave you thirsty and ready for sundowners at our beautiful little bar under the giant Huilboerboon. Dinner will be served in the boma or on the lodge verandah.

We are raising white lion cubs to educate people to the plight of not only the white lion but all lions. The African Lion has become vulnerable. Following the discovery of the decline of the lion population, several coordinated efforts involving lion conservation have been organised in an attempt to stem the decline. We are proud to be part of this effort. Experience the thrill of walking with our white lions and interacting with them.

Nestled high in the tree tops, our very private, tented chalets are luxuriously appointed and each have large private decks where you can enjoy your first cup of coffee of the day or a romantic sundowner later. King beds, sunken baths, his and hers basins, inside and outside showers all help to make your bush experience romantic and unforgettable.

Our awesomely high tree houses with their lovely views of the surrounding bush and the mountains in the distance also offer king beds, baths and outside showers. You can sit on your deck and view a giraffe eye to eye.

For the less adventurous we also offer comfortably appointed en-suite bedrooms in the main lodge.
