Lucca Lodge is nestled deep in the Limpopo Valley on a ridge overlooking a seasonal flood plain, offers guests 8 rooms for individuals or a group or family as well as a lovely self-catering home.  Perched on the edge of the ridge, all the rooms overlook the stunning Mopane bushveld and enjoy amazing morning views of Dongola Hill on the horizon.

Air-conditioned for comfort, the rooms are furnished with king-size beds that can convert to twin beds on request, a desk, a TV and tea and coffee facilities in some.  Each of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. 

The 8-sleeper house comprises 4 rooms with king-size beds that can convert to twin beds and en-suite bathrooms.  The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and oven and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table.  The lounge offers comfortable seating and the home opens onto a patio with outdoor seating overlooking the garden.

A private pool is available for guests to use.  Guests can take time to relax in the lounge and listen to some music or head over to the deck for an authentic South African braai or a quick dip in the splash pool.

The lodge has a well-stocked honesty bar on-site for guests to enjoy soft drinks and juices as well as local beers and wines.  The reserve is over 12,000 hectares and is home to most of the Big 5 as well as the iconic cheetah and wild dog.  Mapungubwe National Park and UNESCO World Heritage site is a short 9 km drive from gate to gate.

Directions:

From Polokwane International Airport: 1. Head southeast on Gateway St for 220 meters. 2. Turn left to continue on Gateway St and proceed for 800 meters. 3. Afterward, take a right turn and travel for 850 meters. 4. Next, make a right onto Vermikuliet St and continue for 350 meters. 5. Continue straight on Vermikuliet St for 750 meters, then another 500 meters. 6. Turn right onto Witklip St and travel for 700 meters. 7. Continue onto Dendron Rd for 3.3 kilometers. 8. Stay on the route as it becomes R521 and continue for 13.6 kilometers. 9. Keep going straight on R521 for another 172 kilometers. 10. Then, turn right onto R572 towards Musina and drive for 18.8 kilometers. 11. Take a right turn towards Nieuwelust/Road D747, a gravel road, and travel for 2.9 kilometers. 12. Keep left and continue for 2.7 kilometers to reach Lucca Lodge on the left.
