Mimosa

Entrance to this stunning historic establishment is through a remote controlled gate with an inter-com system. Guests drive along a neat driveway to their parking bay. Mimosa has its own separate entrance. Guests are given a set of keys and a remote on arrival.

The garden is beautiful and a ray of colour in spite of the very dry and hot weather conditions at the moment. The garden is both neat and well maintained. The trees in the garden provide ample shade. The lovely swimming pool is made available to the guests.

Mimosa forms part of the gracious Victorian main house. The guest accommodation consists of an entrance passage, two bedrooms, an open plan kitchen/dining area and a shared bathroom.

Accommodation at Mimosa:
Main Bedroom
The stylish, romantic main bedroom consists of a king bed with a stunning upholstered headboard. An attractive bedside table is found on either side of the bed. The table hosts a gorgeous tall standing lamp and a pretty candle. The bed is dressed with pristine white cotton bed linen. Modern scatter cushions and a light grey throw are displayed attractively on the bed. A table is positioned at the end of the bed - ideal for suitcases! The striped wall paper on the wall against the bed is a delightful focal point to the room. The Roman blinds at the large windows are tailor made for the windows. The original wooden windows allow for ample natural light to shine through. A comfortable two-seater couch and a wooden armchair provide seating for the bedroom. A flat screen television is attached to the wall above the couch with a wall bracket. A wooden classic wardrobe forms part of the decor in the room. A pillow bar is provided which is found inside the wooden Kist. The amazing mirror attached to the wall is perfect for the room. The bedroom also has a stunning attractive Victorian fireplace, beautiful original wooden floors and lovely French doors which lead out onto a private veranda. The private veranda has two wrought iron chairs with a matching small round table which provide seating for the guests. The pot plants add a cheerful touch to this area. The veranda overlooks the beautiful rose garden and guests can appreciate the peaceful surroundings of the garden from here.

Second Bedroom
The elegant, cosy second bedroom has two single beds with stylish upholstered headboards. The beds can be made up to form a king bed if need be. A lovely round bedside table is positioned on each side of the beds. A beautiful bedside lamp is positioned on each table together with a pretty candle holder. The beds are dressed with pristine white cotton bed linen. A pretty floral scatter cushion and a white luxurious towel are displayed on the bed. A wooden armchair forms part of the decor in the room. A wardrobe has been ordered for the bedroom and will be arriving shortly. This room also has an original attractive fireplace and wooden floors. This room has wooden doors leading out onto the veranda.

Both bedrooms provide a laundry basket, pillow bar and a heater.

Other facilities:
The charming kitchen has built-in cupboards incorporating a sink, an oven with hob and a fridge. The built-in shelf above displays glasses and a microwave. The counter hosts a kettle, toaster, an ice-bucket and a Nespresso coffee machine. A wooden shelf unit attractively displays a range of crockery, information pamphlets, board games, pots and coffee/tea. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering purposes. A wooden table and four attractive matching chairs serve as a quaint eating area in the kitchen. Fresh flowers are displayed in the centre of the table. A lovely information file regarding Mimosa B&B and Grahamstown is also displayed on the table. The mirror and pictures on the wall is visually most appealing. Fabulous doors lead into the main house. A selection of coffees/teas, drinking water is provided together with home-made rusks - what a treat! A full First aid kit and sewing kit is provided. A full Continental breakfast is provided on request.

The lovely bathroom consists of a toilet, glass door shower and a basin. A stunning mirror is placed above the basin. A large window provides ample natural light and good ventilation to the bathroom. The bathroom door with frosted windows is lovely. The picture on the wall adds a nice touch. A full range of Charlotte Rhys toiletries are provided. The deep charcoal painted walls adds a touch of class to the bathroom.

All wall hangings, furniture, accessories and decor in the establishment are chosen with great care and are used to great effect throughout the establishment.

In conclusion:
Guests can experience warm hospitality in accommodation that is most comfortable and of a superior standard with no expense spared. Guests are made to feel most welcome and at home. Memre strives for perfection which radiates throughout her establishment. All the extra goodies provided and the attention to detail does not go unnoticed.
