Moditlo River Lodge

Moditlo means place of the elephant and the spirit of this unique and gentle animal echoes the extraordinary experience that awaits you when entering the 36000 acre Private Blue Canyon Conservancy, just 16 kilometers outside of Hoedspruit adjacent to the world renowned Greater Kruger National Park.

Moditlo River Lodge is a brand new ultra luxurious 16 bedroom lodge, is built in a very modern contemporary style, yet it resembles traditional bush living and offers guests a private retreat, hidden away in the African bush where man and Big 5 meet. We runs a childrens program with dedicated child-minders for complete peace of mind while you relax on the pool deck or enjoy a mud bath before being pampered by our trained masseurs.

The Njala, our state of the art fine dining restaurant overlooks the Nbesi River, and it is here where guests can enjoy the best cuisine and wine that Africa has on offer. Our hosts will also introduce guests to traditional bush barbeques (braais) while local tribes dance and sing the night away.

The Game drives on our brand new Luxury Toyota Land Cruisers, conducted by our passionate and experienced nature guides, will not only introduce guests to the African wildlife but will send you home with an in depth knowledge of the trees, birds and animals, that roam this very unique part of the world.

Accommodation at Moditlo River Lodge:
The Lodge offers 16 luxurious rooms (4 twin & 12 double), comprising of a bath tub and separate shower with a bush view. The stylishly decorated rooms offer air-conditioning, complimentary coffee station, personal safety box, guest amenities and a mini bar.

Each of the rooms have their own private covered patio where guest can enjoy complete relaxation, whilst indulging in the sounds and smells of the African bush.
