Nibela Lodge offers a choice of guided walks, consisting of small and plains game, forest and bird, or shoreline walks where the ancient remains of fossilized fauna and flora dating back millions of years can be examined.
Other activities include: Guided quad-bike trails to the fossils, water birds and to the Mangwazi caves. There is also combinations of all the trails.
We have a lovely bird hide with an extreme amount of birds for your viewing pleasure.
We have the most beautiful mountain bike routes, you are welcome to bring your own mountain bike and enjoy these lovely trails.
Traditional Zulu dancers can also be arranged by the Lodge for your entertainment while enjoying sun downers by the Lake. Please arrange this before arrival.
Nearby activities and excursions include: Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Park, Hluhluwe Horse Safari's, Scuba diving at Sodwana Bay, boat cruises and whale watching in St. Lucia. Zulu Crocodile is a snake and Crocodile Park close-by and is enjoyed by most guests.
The Lodge also offers a variety of board games and DVD's for those rainy days and an Entertainment centre for you to enjoy. The Entertainment centre have soft play toys for the toddlers, a jungle gym, swings, and a trampoline and a 9 hole putt-putt course.
The swimming pools is close-by for your enjoyment, you can collect swimming pool towels at reception, order lunch and drinks and have a day next to the pool.
