Nyati Wilderness spreads over 13 000 hectares (32 120 acres) of pristine bushveld/savanna and rare indigenous forest in the Waterberg mountains in South Africas Limpopo Province.
Being part of a UNESCO Biosphere, Nyati’s’ mandate is to promote and sustain a multi-usage, thriving wilderness habitat. Thus Nyati is, all at the same time, a safari lodge, a high-conservation wildlife sanctuary, a protected forest, a sustainable hunting preserve and an adventure holiday destination.
Take exciting game drives in our open top safari vehicles which allow unobstructed views of an abundance of plains game as well as four of the big five. Have fun quad biking, do a spot of tranquil fishing, canoeing, birdwatching or, if you prefer, just relax while taking in the panoramic view from a cliff-top swimming pool.
Nyati’s’ team of highly professional staff will guide and assist in every aspect of your stay with us. Luxurious accommodation, helpful staff and a top chef will ensure you are comfortable throughout your stay at Nyati.

“The Waterberg Biosphere Reserve represents a considerable area of savanna biome of Southern Africa and contains a high level of biological diversity including many Orange Listed species of conservation concern, and many endemic species. Habitats are sufficiently represented to ensure that the current high biodiversity is maintained. The low human density ensures large areas of unspoiled wilderness and open spaces are a main characteristic of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve.”
