Oaksrest Vineyards Guest Farm

Oaksrest Vineyards Guest Farm is 4 Star Graded and at the foothills of Towerkop in the Dwarsriver Valley near Ladismith/ R62 and welcomes the tired soul of the traveling guest.  Formerly known as Eikendal Vineyards the farm has been renamed to Oaksrest Vineyards Guest Farm in 2011 and the Family of the farm have, lovingly made a lot of changes over the last 14 years to the current establishment to further and enhance the “Rest” and “Tranquillity” for each and every Guest at Oaksrest.

Pinotage Farmhouse (Sleeps up to 10 People):
The tastefully decorated Pinotage Farmhouse accommodates up to 9 guests.  The House with its rich History as former School in the Dwarsrivier valley is very spacious.  There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 with En-suite Bathrooms and Air Conditioning).  If there is a need for a cot or extra mattress, let us know in advance and one will be provided.  The linen is white 100% cotton percale and the towels are white, thick and fluffy.  The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking requirements as well as a stove with oven, microwave oven, a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.  A fireplace and electric blankets ensure warm and cosy nights in winter.  Free Wi-Fi is available. The main living room is equipped with a HD TV, DVD Player and DSTV.  The patio with Boma braai facilities completes this magnificent Karoo gem. We supply Firewood as well.

Chenin Blanc Cottage (Sleeps up to 8 People):
The Chenin Blanc Cottage is situated on an slight incline of one of the mountains on the farm and therefore have the most awesome views across the Valley, Swartberg Mountain’s and of Towerkop.  The Cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests and have two bedrooms (1 with a Double bed and 1 with 2 single beds) as well as a loft area with 4 single beds. The Cottage have 2 bathrooms – en-suite to the bedrooms.  The Kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave oven and fridge freezer, the living room have a HDTV with DSTV. For the cold winter evenings the Cottage have a build in stove to keep you warm and cosy.  Free WiFi is available.  The deck area have a build in braai and near the cottage is a nice Boma braai area against the mountain side.  We supply firewood as well.

Crimson Cottage (Sleeps 2 People):
“You will feel as if you are on your second Honeymoon while staying in the Crimson Cottage”.  The tastefully decorated Crimson Cottage can accommodate 2 people and have an old workers house charm with a modern twist.  The Cottage has a open plan layout with en-suit bathroom and an indoor fireplace and a outside build in braai on the Patio.  There is a HDTV with DSTV and DVD with Free WIFI, Air Conditioning and your Queen sized bed have an electric blanket on for the cold winter evenings with 100% Cotton Percale linen and thick and fluffy towels are included.  The Kitchenette is fully equipped for self catering with an Convection Micro wave oven and Fridge Freezer.  The modern bathroom have a nice big bathtub and shower with the most awesome views on the mountains.  The Cottage is situated on the slight incline of the mountain and have the most beautiful views of the Valley with Vineyards and the Swartberg Mountain.  Just sit on the Patio area and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Klein Karoo.  We will enjoy to have you at Oaksrest Vineyards Guest farm where you will enjoy heartfelt Karoo Hospitality and “Rest”.

4 x exclusive Campsites (Max x 6 People per stand):
Our campsite is literally between the vineyards and on the banks of our Pinotage Lake area offering you 5 thick lawn stands with shaded areas, next to the dam. Individual stands have electrical hook-ups, fresh water and braai facilities.  Ample braai wood provided at R 35.00 per big bag.  A 5 star ablution facility provides showers and toilets with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, microwave oven and free Wi-Fi as well.  So if you enjoy waking up to the sounds of the prolific bird life, breathing in fresh country air, enjoying long walks on farm and mountain bike trails, lush gardens, fishing, canoeing and swimming in the dam with a built in wooden deck with inflatable tubes then this is a perfect setting for you.  Be amazed at the stars in the clear night sky and remember the majestic call of the Fish Eagle for a long time to come.
