OMAHA is conveniently located 2 hours NW of Windhoek en route to a number of Namibia`s primary tourism destinations: Etosha and Waterberg National Parks, Damaraland, Bushmanland, Kavango Region and the Caprivi Strip. Located nearby are the Erindi Game Lodge, Omaruru Game Lodge, Mt Etjo Safari Lodge, Dinosaur Tracks, Okonjima Lodge/Africat Foundation, and Cheetah Conservation Fund.

OMAHA offers its guests the utmost in peace, tranquility, and privacy. The 10,000 acre estate has a natural beauty that is virtually unsurpassed. With a landscaped garden, numerous hiking trails, and splendid vistas of Mt Etjo at the doorstep, one can become lost in space and timeno red lights, no shops, no petrol within 75 km!
Mt Etjo is a sister mountain to the famed Waterberg Plateau/National Park lying 120 km to the NW. They share a similar geological history and are capped to a depth of 70 meters with the distinguishing red Etjo sandstone formed during millions of years of severe desert conditions. Mt Etjo harbors several protected species including Hartmanns Mt. Zebra, Damara Dik-dik, Leopard and Klipspringer.
OMAHA has a number of other wild free-ranging species such as Kudu, Oryx, Cheetah, Burchell`s Plains Zebra, and Bat-eared fox. Seasonally, over 250 bird species occur, including waterfowl. Farm drives, guided hikes to the top Mt Etjo, and limited hunting can be arranged.
Game viewing:
All of Omahas game are natural free-ranging species. Often seen are Warthog, Kudu, Oryx, Damara Dik-dik, Steenbok, Duiker, Jackal, Ostrich, Bat-eared fox, and Hares. Also on the farm are Leopard, Cheetah, Caracal, Hartmanns Mountain Zebra, Springbok, Hartebeest, and Porcupine. Abundant bird life occurs in the bush, at the dams, as well as in the garden at the lodge.

OMAHA has completely shifted its mode of operation to self catering with attention to those who want the very best value for their vacations. Firstly, this means that when a booking is made (1-5 rooms), IT WILL BE THE ONLY BOOKING for those dates. This offers you, your family, or your friends, the utmost in privacy! Secondly, it means that daily rates are highly discounted for staying and enjoying the beauty of OMAHA.
Included are all linens, a fully equipped kitchen, swimming pool and walking trails. There will be a clean-up staff for your dishes and daily house cleaning. Wi-Fi and laundry can be arranged at a slight fee. Tips are welcomed for the staff. A 2-day minimum stay for 2 persons is required. The daily rate is N$ 600/person/night (two night minimum stay), except during prime season 13 Dec-19 Jan when the rates are N$ 800/person/night (three night minimum stay).
You may bring your own provisions or we will stock the pantry, refrigerator and bar for you at cost + 20% + transport.

Omaha is conveniently located off highway B1, the main route leading northwards from Windhoek, a short two hours away. Travel 93 km North of Okahandja (or 83 km South of Otjiwarongo) on B1, then turn West on D2404 and drive 35 km to Lodge on right (-21.13306 S x 16.52549 E).
Alternately, travel East from Omaruru for 60 km on D2329 (past the Omaruru Game Lodge), then take D2404 for 15 km to Omaha Lodge on left.
