Our nature reserve boasts over thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and many more roam freely as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area.
The latest addition to the already abundant wildlife at Onguma Game Reserve is a family of black rhinos! More than 300 bird species can also be viewed at Onguma Game Reserve. During the Namibian summer months the nature reserve becomes a bird-watcher`s paradise with thousands of species migrating to the wetlands created by the seasonal rains and ephemeral river systems.

The lounge and dining areas overlook a stunning waterhole that affords great opportunities to see nature at play around the clock. You dont even have to leave the camp to see game they come to you! Onguma Bush Camp consists of 5 twin bedded standard rooms which includes 3 rooms with a childrens sleep area in the loft, 6 twin bedded Waterhole/Pool-Side Rooms, 3 Rondavels, 1 family unit with 4 beds, 1 Settlers Room (formerly the honeymoon suite) as well as 2 single tour guide rooms. The Waterhole/Pool-Side Rooms are built with views of the newly enlarged waterhole or views across the pool.
There is a swimming pool and a thatched bar, lounge and dining area that overlooks the extensive waterhole. A small games room and meeting room, further increases the versatility of this much loved camp.
Guests can enjoy game drives on Onguma Game Reserve. Alternatively, guests can also participate in a nature drive into Etosha National Park where you will be afforded the opportunity of viewing various game in the largest national park in Namibia.

Onguma Game Reserve is situated on the Eastern Side of the Etosha National Reserve. It can easily be reached by road and is a six hour drive north from Windhoek. Several transfer companies offer a seat in a transfer that will take you effortlessly from Windhoek to Onguma and back.
Alternatively, a flight might be chartered to land at the Makuti airstrip, a 20 min pick up away from the Lodge.
