Orange River Rafting Lodge is located on the banks of the Orange River, haven to numerous bird species. The resort is situated in lovely surroundings, 10 km from the cross border to Namibia on the N7, on a small Lucerne farm in Vioolsdrift.

We offer self-catering chalets, campsites and river rafting at affordable rates in a peaceful atmosphere filled with beautiful river views, sunsets over the mountain ranges of the Richtersveld and silent, starry nights.

You are assured of friendly service and great facilities with every effort made to ensure that our visitors have a pleasant and memorable experience.

Activities like fishing, swimming and rafting makes it the ideal family getaway, also a convenient stopover on your way to or from Namibia, situated halfway between Cape Town and Windhoek. Comfortable, fully equipped self-catering wooden chalets and private campsites are perfectly located in the breathtaking natural landscape of the Orange River banks.

Health and Climate:

Vioolsdrif is situated in a malaria-free desert region. Typical to desert climates, summer temperatures (November to February) average 38 degrees Celsius. Winter temperatures (May to July) average 28 degrees Celsius during the day and could drop as low as 2 degrees Celsius at night.

- If cancelling 120 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.

Directions:

Aquacade is located on the banks of the Orange River, 10km from the cross border to Namibia and the N7, on the Kotzeshoop road at Vioolsdrift in the Northern Cape Province.

When you drive from Cape Town or Upington via Springbok to Vioosldrift on the N7, you take the Kotzeshoop turn on your left 200m in front of the border post. Drive on the Kotzeshoop road for 10 km until you see our sign. Turn right and drive for 500m to Aquacade.
