The lodge is set on 235 hectares of unspoiled landscape and incorporates magnificent dunes, woods, river deltas, beaches, wetlands, lagoons, home to 20 free roaming horses and has an extensive bird life.
Oyster Bay Lodge is the ideal Garden route accommodation to start (coming from Port Elizabeth) or finish (coming from Cape Town) your holiday.
Location:
Travelling from Cape Town on the N2, turn off at exit no. 632 Palmietvlei / Clarkson. At the T-Junction turn right. 200 meters forward there will be a sign that says Oyster Bay, turn left here.
It is the start of a 24 kilometer long dirt road to Oyster Bay Lodge.
Please note that there will be a 4 way crossing, cross it directly and continue straight until you come to a T-Junction. Turn right following the Oyster Bay Signage, shortly thereafter (4 kilometer) Oyster Bay Lodge will be situated on the right-hand side of the road.
From Port Elizabeth take the N2 to Humansdorp.
Take the Humansdorp / St. Francis / Oyster Bay exit. After entering Humansdorp, at the stop street, cross it directly and travel down the main street till you are at a T-Junction. At the T-junction, turn right and travel a further 100 meters.
Here you will see the start of the dirt road. Please follow the signs to Oyster Bay/ Oesterbaai.
The closer you get to us, you will be able to see more signs which will say `Oyster Bay Lodge`. After 23 kilometers, Oyster Bay Lodge is situated on the left-hand side of the road.
Facilities:
After entering the gates, a little gravel road will guide you to pristine, sandy beaches and right into the lap of luxury. As the gate opens you will be welcomed into the reception office and the main building is situated within a few hundred meters from the gate, where guests will be welcomed by the friendly staff.
As guests, you can relax at the freshwater swimming pool or enjoy a drink in the ocean viewing bar. After having viewed the sunset from the relaxing bar, the hosts will take you through to the cozy restaurant where you can enjoy excellent cuisine.
After a good nights rest you will be woken up by sounds of the Indian Ocean and fauna on the Coastal Reserve.
Enjoy a delicious and healthy a la carte breakfast before exploring the private sandy beach and hiking trails.

The Comfortable Guestrooms have an extra length, king size bed (9) and queen size bed (1). All guestrooms are en-suite with a bathtub, open shower and a toilet. There is also a bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities (standard) and a wall mounted safe. 8 of the Guestrooms have a private veranda with sea-view and 2 guestrooms have a view of the lush green garden and mountain. 1 room can accommodate 3 persons and 2 others can accommodation 4 guests each.

take the N2 to Humansdorp. Take the exit Humandorp/St. Francis/Oyster Bay. After entering Humansdorp, at the first stop street, go straight into the main street of Humandorp. At the end of the main street turn right to Oyster Bay. Follow the signs to Oyster Bay/Oyster Bay Lodge (Please note that the tarred road will be become a dirt road). After approximately 23 kilometres Oyster Bay Lodge is situated on the left-hand side of the road. (2 kilometres behind the village of Oyster Bay)
