A R112m expansion to the popular, select-services 3-star Peermont Metcourt hotel by 100 rooms is currently underway, with the planned opening in December 2016. This will increase the hotels capacity from a 248 to a 348-key facility, with Emperors Palace then offering 757 rooms in total.

The Peermont Metcourt is a modern, contemporary and functional hotel which was designed primarily for business travellers and convention centre guests, however the need has arisen to offer more family friendly rooms and to cater for large groups travelling on a budget, such as NGOs, sports and religious associations. The new king and twin bed configurations of the rooms offer stay solutions for a variety of new markets. The hotel will also feature one suite, with its own private balcony.

The 5166 m extension includes an addition to the existing F.L.A.G. Caf; an additional lift, enhanced access to the rest of the complex, a new faade opposite the Metcourt Suites and a 24-hour gymnasium.

Accommodation at Peermont Metcourt at Emperors Palace:
Mustard and dove blue are the dominant colours in the standard rooms, all of which face onto the gardens and plazas.

They are furnished with two upholstered armchairs, a coffee table and a large desk, and their gold damask curtains are held back with heavily ornamented tassles.

The en-suite bathrooms have showers over the bath, and the toilet is located off a dressing area equipped with a handbasin in a marble vanity.

The family rooms, which have inter-leading doors to other rooms if required, are furnished in a similar style but have a king-size bed, a sleeper couch suitable for children and two hand basins set into the spacious vanity.

Other amenities include a hairdryer and a personal key-pad safe.

The radio/TV offers a range of channels, including SABC 1, 2 and 3, E-TV, M-Net, and selected DSTV channels and a pay TV channel.

Children Policy:
Depending on the Hotel and its Room Types and configurations, up to 2 (two) children under 18 (eighteen) years old, sharing with 2 (two) full paying adults in a family Room, are accommodated free, excluding any meals.

Where there is 1 (one) adult and 1 (one) child under the age of 18 (eighteen) years old in the same Room, the accommodation rate charged will be that of a single person. The child will be accommodated free but this excludes any meals.

Breakfast rates for Children are not included on confirmation or pro forma invoice but it can be requested to be included, when making a booking.
