Welcome to Rietfontein Ostrich Palace, a working ostrich farm situated between Calitzdorp (Port Capital of the World) - & Oudtshoorn (Ostrich Capital of the world) on the Route 62 (longest wine route in South Africa).

It is the eldest working ostrich farm in the Cape Colony, established by the Potgieter family in 1897 and boasts with one of the most intriguing ostrich palaces, dating back to the early 1900`s (the feather boom era).

Enjoy a scrumptious meal at our Restaurant - we serve ostrich cuisine and local wine. Our accommodation consists of 3 units ( 6 rooms ) - each with ensuite bathroom and equipped with all neccessaries.

Calitzdorp Spa is situated about 19.5km from the small town of Calitzdorp. The Spa is well known for its heeling powers and people come from over the world to come and relax in our warm and pleasant waters.

We provide wonderful accommodation in the self-catering chalets and tent and caravan stands are also available. The Spa is also ideal for conferences and consists of a conference center and even a restaurant for those not eager to do the dishes.

-  If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
-  If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
-  If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
-  If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
