Rooiheuwel Holiday Farm is situated at the foothills of the Nuweveld Mountains in the Great Karoo, 80km west of Beaufort West and 60km north of Leeu Gamka.

Rooiheuwel offers various self-catering units.
1 & 2 Boplaas and Middelplaas:
- Two comfortable self contained farmhouses, well equipped with 4 bedrooms.
- 3 rooms with 1 double - and 2 single beds
- 1 room with 2 - 3 single beds
- 1 bathroom and separate shower, Middelplaas has an outdoor shower
- Dining rooms and lounges
- Inside and outside braai facilities - lapas
- You can also pitch a tent at the camping site at Boplaas
Cottage at Boplaas:
- Original cottage with 1 double bed, en-suite bathroom, open plan kitchen and Braaifacilities.
Shepherds Kliphuisie in the veld:
- The original shepherds kliphuis has 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, as well as a lounge
- outside shower and toilet
- outside bake oven and “skerm” with braai facilities
- a small stone dam for cooling off in hot summer days

This is our hunting house. Bloubos are equipped to house with all amenities. 4 Bedrooms, 2 x Rooms with double bed and 1 bunker bed and ensuit, 2 x Rooms with 2 single beds and 1 bunker bed, 1 Bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and basin. It has a large living area with indoor braai and open plan kitchen with Gas stove, microwave and fridge freezer beneath. On the outside, we have a Lapa with a stone pond.
Comfortable, well equipped, self-contained farmhouse, complete with lapas and outside and inside braais. There is also a rock pool where you can cool off after the days outdoor activities. Boplaas has 4 bedrooms; 2 rooms with double bed and 2 single bed rooms, 1 bathroom and separate shower, 1 Bedroom 1 double bed and 1 single bed, 1 Bedroom 2 double decker beds (sleep 4),1 Bathroom with bath, toilet and basin, 1 separate shower and separate toilet.
Campsite under thorn trees with ablution facilities ( electrified ) – donkey-geyser, flush toilets, showers, washbasins and a camping kitchen with 3 sinks, power points and water.
A very comfortable house with electricity and well equipped with everything you need.
There are 3 bedrooms. 2 x rooms with 1 double bed and 1 single bed each. 1 room with 2 single beds. 1 bathroom with bath, toilet and basin. 1 Bathroom shower, toilet and basin. Large living area with indoor braai. Open plan kitchen that is well-equipped with microwave, gas stove and electric stove with oven and fridge freezer beneeth. We have a lapa with outside braai and a stone pool.

This is a place for those who want to shower outside, wash your clothes outside and enjoy this primitive lifestyle. The original shepherds kliphuis has 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, as well as a sleeper couch in the lounge. There is an outside shower and toilet, an outside bake oven and “skerm” with braai facilities. Kliphuisie does not have electricity but there is a solar fridge, lighting with solar lights and a small stone dam for cooling off on hot summer days.
The original cottage, is well equipped with a microwave, fridge, and gas-plate stove. The cottage has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. There is an open plan kitchen and outside braai facilities. There is an apartment apart from the main cottage with a double bed but form part of the main cottage and can not be rented on its own.
From Beaufort-West:
Drive on the N1 to Cape Town for 13km, then turn right at the Fraserburg gravel road for 13km.
At the fork you keep left to Merweville for 50km and then turn right at the cross where our name plate is. Drive for 3km and you will find Rooiheuwel on your left.
From Leeu-Gamka (on the N1):
Turn left on the tarred road (R353) to Fraserburg. Drive for 45km and turn right on the gravel road to Beaufort-West for 13km. At the cross, where our name plate is, turn left for 3km and you will find Rooiheuwel on your left.
