Bask in natural beauty and vineyards on the pristine outskirts of Franschhoek’s village.
It’s our pleasure to introduce Rose Cottages, an idyllic retreat in the beautiful Franschhoek valley. Our three self-catering cottages are comfortable and tastefully furnished, each with its own private patio and pool. Soak up the views and enjoy Franschhoek’s fine wine and foods.
Come and relax on our tranquil wine farm. Please, make yourself at home…
Please note that there is a cat living on the property. While we take care to ensure the accommodation is free of cat hair, we must mention this in case of anyone suffering from particularly severe allergies.
The Stables
The converted stables (99 sq.m) makes for a uniquely picturesque stay. This secluded cottage tucked amongst our vines, has an open plan lounge, dining area and well equipped kitchen. There is a large fireplace and a TV to watch your favourite sport whilst sipping locally produced wine. There are two en-suite bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with twin beds. Both bathrooms have a tub and a large shower. The bedrooms and the sitting area open onto the patio with private plunge pool, timber deck with loungers and barbeque area for those summer days when you want to relax at home and enjoy the tranquility of the farm. There are magnificent views of the surrounding mountains which are particularly beautiful as they catch the last rays of the sun. This cottage is child-friendly. Our cottages are 200m apart and children can splash in the small pool to their hearts’ content without disturbing other guests.
The Vineyard
This private double-storey cottage (110 sq.m) is set between our vines and the neighbouring paddocks, with the mountains providing spectacular views which can be enjoyed from all the windows. Downstairs is a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, queen bed plus one single bed. Upstairs on the mezzanine floor are twin beds with bathroom. Have your morning coffee in bed looking at the spectacular views on three sides. Both bedrooms have under carpet heating for our cold winter nights. Also downstairs is a double volume lounge with comfortable seating, TV and fireplace, dining area and well equipped kitchen. There is a verandah on three sides from which to enjoy the scenery. Sit here to soak up the mountain and vineyard views, enjoy the private pool with recliners on our hot summer days and cook alfresco meals on the free-standing barbeque. Or in winter add some logs to the inside fireplace, put your feet up and delight in the comfort of the Vineyard. This cottage is child friendly. As it is 200m from the nearest cottage, children can splash in the pool as much and as loudly as they wish without disturbing the other guests.
The Barn
Enjoy the charm and old world luxury of the Manor House’s centre piece, initially converted from a nearly-200-year-old barn. Covering 120 square metres, the Barn consists of a lounge and dining area, open plan kitchen, sunroom and a mezzanine bedroom with en suite bathroom. The Barn also offers our largest private pool and extensive patio overlooking the vineyard, along with your own braai/BBQ area with outside dining table under the oak tress for leisurely afternoons or evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped, with an open plan cooking area and separate scullery off to the side. The large sunroom boasts glorious views of the vineyards and mountains with large sliding glass doors that you can open up for fresh air or keep closed to enjoy the views safe from the elements. When the weather’s colder you can light up the large fire, sip on a fine wine in front of the TV and enjoy the timeless ambience of the Barn.
As part of the owners’ residence, this is subject to very limited availability.
