The Royal Guest House is located in Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape. The guest house offers affordable accommodation for couples, families and business people.
The 12 rooms are comfortably furnished. A quaint dining area provides the setting for breakfast, not included in the rates. A communal lounge leads onto the pool deck, that features a pretty view of the coastal town.
Facilities
We have eleven standard & luxury rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms/shower, air-conditioning, 8 channels of DSTV, a mini bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities, telephone and hair dryer.
All are fitted with double beds and two of the rooms have modern, comfortable sleeper couches as well. The addition of a pair of bunk beds makes one of these into a very user friendly family room sleeping six.
The cozy lounge has a bar, television, recliner chair and plush lounge suite overlooking the marina. We also have a large log fire should the evenings turn chilly.
French doors from the lounge open onto a magnificent wooden deck (with pool and loungers) from where you can overlook the town and out to sea (sometimes spotting the odd migrating whale!)

Executive rooms, with lounge and private balcony, are furnished with queen bed. Facilities include bathroom with shower, air conditioner, tea and coffee station, TV with selected DSTV channels and laptop safe.
Family rooms, with lounge, can be arranged according to guest needs. Facilities include bathroom with bath and shower, air conditioner, tea and coffee station, TV with selected DSTV channels and laptop safe.
Luxury rooms are furnished with king bed. Facilities include bathroom with bath and shower, air conditioner, tea and coffee station, TV with selected DSTV channels and laptop safe.
Standard rooms are furnished with queen bed. Facilities include bathroom with shower, air conditioner, tea and coffee station, TV with selected DSTV channels and laptop safe.
If a guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, he/she must do so as soon as reasonably possible. A “no show” will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
No verbal cancellations will be accepted. All cancellations must be done in writing and no exceptions in this regard will be allowed.
A cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking will be charged if a guest cancels his/her reservation less than 48 hours prior to arrival.
A cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking will be charged if a guest cancels his/her reservation 14 days prior to arrival.
A cancellation fee of 30% of the total booking will be charged if a guest cancels his/her reservation 30 days prior to arrival.
The above cancellation penalties will also apply should there be a reduction in room numbers.

From Port Elizabeth: [155KM]
Get on the N2 Highway to Grahamstown. After -50 km's, take the exit to Grahamstown and then after another 500 m's, take the R72 exit to Port Alfred. At the T-junction turn right towards Port Alfred. 50 km's on that road to Alexandria, then 25 km's to Kenton-on-Sea, and 25 km's to Port Alfred. Upon reaching Port Alfred, continue straight follow the road to East London. At the traffic lights, continue straight, over the bridge. Continue straight past the Royal Alfred Marina. Approximately 200 meters up the hill, the Royal Guest House is signposted on your right, directly opposite Beyond Adventure Accommodation.

Take the R72 direct to Port Alfred/Port Elizabeth. Pass the Fish River Sun. Pass Kleinemonde. Upon reaching Port Alfred continue straight, past the BP Garage. As you are heading down the hill towards the marina, before you go down the hill, the Royal Guest House is signposted on your left, directly opposite Beyond Adventure Accommodation.
