At Sam`s Giardino Pension in Swakopmund, we strive to nurture each guest`s body, mind and soul in many different ways. In case you are a dog lover, our 4-pawed PR Manager, a Bernese Mountain Dog, will gladly keep you company on beach and desert walks too.
Sam`s Giardino is situated within 10 minutes` walking distance of Swakopmund`s beaches and city centre. Our beautiful historical home town boasting well-preserved colonial architecture, lively side-walk cafs, an interesting art & culture scene, and many other entertainment opportunities is known worldwide as a summer and winter health resort.
We provide guests with free secure off-street parking on our premises, and optional laundry services.
For visitors not traveling to Swakopmund on a self-drive or guided tour, there are daily shuttle bus and flight services available between Swakopmund and Windhoek as well as numerous flights from/to South Africa via Walvis Bay Airport, which is situated only about a 30-minute drive from Swakopmund. From Windhoek and its Hosea Kutako International Airport, Swakopmund can be reach on good tar roads within 4-5 hours.

Sam’s Giardino was opened in 1998 and registered with the Namibia Tourist Board under PEN 00026. We are also an active member of the Namibia Hospitality Association (HAN).
Our guest amenities were expanded and upgraded every year since then, in line with our mission to uphold the values of traditional Swiss hospitality.
Apart from living our motto ‘hospitality with a touch of heart’ and maintaining quality standards in all we do, we aim at providing our guests with the most modern comforts of today.

Wine Tasting
Sample selected red & white wines from renowned producers in South Africa's Western Cape Province and learn to identify aromas (nez du vin).
This optional activity at Sam's Giardino is on offer daily at 18h30 and takes about 1 hour - a wonderful prelude to a leisurely gourmet dinner.

On entering Swakopmund via Walvis Bay
- after crossing the bridge over the Swakop River -
turn right at the second intersection, into Anton Lubowski Avenue.
Proceed for approx. 900 meters to reach Sam's Giardino,
situated on your right-hand side.
On entering Swakopmund via Usakos/Karibib/from Windhoek,
turn left at the first set of traffic lights and left again at the second intersection. You are now in Anton Lubowski Avenue.
Proceed for approx. 300 meters to reach Sam's Giardino,
situated on your right-hand side.
Sam's Giardino is written on the house wall (NOT garden wall) facing Anton Lubowski Avenue
The vehicle entrance (remote-controlled dark wooden sliding gate) is situated to the left of the pedestrian entrance, on the parameter of the hotel grounds.
The pedestrian entrance is secured with a door bell & electrical lock mechanism.
The on-site parking area for guests is situated in the back-yard of the hotel grounds and provides direct access to the main entrance hall and reception area.
Transfer services for guests arriving by train, flights to Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, or by shuttle bus from Windhoek can be arranged on request. Such services will be booked with outside providers and therefore be payable at the respective provider's applicable tariff.
