Situated, quite literally, on the water’s edge, Sea Shack offers casual, self-catering holiday accommodation. Not camping and not a hotel, Sea Shack offers glamping style holidays or weekend escapes where you can keep clean, warm and live simply while you holiday, adventure, rest or relax away from home on one of the Cape’s more beautiful coastlines just ninety-five minutes’ drive out of the city of Cape Town.
Powered by solar and gas, Sea Shack is off the grid and a proud participant of Eco lodging. While this may mean a hairdryer-free zone, there are power points enough for cell phone and laptop charging. Free Wi-fi also makes for a perfect working hideaway should you need it.
The tiny wooden cabins have have been beautifully crafted and designed. Whether you have the pleasure of staying in Oyster or the delight of Dolphin, this will be the beginning of a special memory. Gather around the fire-pit at night to cook and kuier.
All the Shacks are positioned as close to the sea as one would dare. The Garden Shacks are cleverly positioned between the shacks in front to ensure they have an equally beautiful view of the sea whilst also being able to admire the miniature gardens.
New A-frame chalets for couples, singles and now families look out a stable doorway and far out to sea to the Atlantic’s horizon where whales, seals and penguin play.
Offering a safe environment for children, the family shack is designed to accommodate two children under the age of nine, encompasses a small bed and a cot with a private enclosed patio so toddlers can move freely but don’t wander out of sight. Inside the family chalet a baby bath and changing table make camping with style, easy and stress-free.
The tents are set slightly further back in a private area. They are perfectly suited for kids or as an overflow to a private party booking.
Each tent is fitted with 2 x stretch beds and crisp luxury linen. (Not suitable for large adults).
All accommodation at Sea Shack, provides visitors with clean, fresh bedding on solid, wooden bedframes set inside A-frame wooden huts with their own deck and stairs. Living is easy with kikoi curtains to shade the glass framed windows and a split stable door entrance.
Separate but individual private ablutions consist of a water-saving toilet, shower and hand basin with mirror.
