Stonecutters Lodge is situated in the Mpumalanga Highlands between Dullstroom and Lydenburg (Mashishing) and is only 2.5 hours from Gauteng O R Tambo Airport and 1.5 hours from Nelspruit (Mbombela) Middleburg and Witbank (eMalahleni). There is just one kilometer of dirt road off the R540.

Accommodation at Stonecutters Lodge:
The Trout House is a charming double story stone house, ideally located next to the trout dams with lawns down to the water. The house sleeps seven guests in three bedrooms all with under carpet heating. These rooms are en-suite, one with a king bed, one with twin beds and one with three singles. Children are welcome in Trout House. (An extra mattress and bedding can be arranged at R242 per night.) The two downstairs bathrooms (shower only) have wheel-chair access. The elegant lounge has slate flooring, a fireplace and dining area for 6 to 8 people. There is a well-appointed open-plan kitchen with dishwasher. The adjacent thatched boma with a bonfire pit and braai/barbeque area is a great spot for outdoor meals.

The Stone Cottage is a luxury semi-detached house with one bedroom sleeping a family of four. There is a large master bedroom en-suite and a lounge with sleeper facilities for 2 children, plus an extra bathroom. The impressive lounge area has a high rafted ceiling, a fireplace, full DStv and an open plan well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The cottage is positioned on the hillside, a few minutes walk from the dams. The living area opens onto two covered patios with braai/barbeque facilities and stunning views over the mountains.

The Cobbles Studios consist of six en-suite luxury studios each sleeping two adults. (Please note no children under 12years). Nestling among tall pine trees, each studio is an open area with under floor heating, king or twin beds, leather couches and DStv with a selection of channels. There are private wooden decks with comfortable seating and gas braai/barbeque facilities. Each studio has an en-suite shower only bathroom and a kitchenette equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, microwave, and gas hob and below counter fridge with freezer.

Hotel amenities (soaps etc) are supplied through-out and all the accommodation is serviced daily. All the accommodation is equipped for self-catering but meals are available from our Stone Manor restaurant by prior arrangement.

Activities:

Stonecutters offers trout fishing from 2 dams and 3 klms of river, all well strocked. Rod hire and tuition available. Walking, birding, hiking. Take in the scenic wonders of the escarpment up to Blyde River Canyon, all within a day trip of the lodge. Browse in the quaint town of Dullstroom.

- 50 % of total cost if cancelled or numbers reduced 15 days prior to arrival.
- 100 % of total cost if cancelled or numbers reduces 7 days prior to arrival.
- If cancelled 7 days or less before arrival, liable for full cost.

Directions:

From Johannesburg & Pretoria
Take the N12 or the N4 to Witbank / Middelburg. Continue on the N4 towards Nelspruit through the toll plaza and exit the highway at the turnoff to Belfast (approximately 64 kms from Middelburg). At the third 4-way stop in Belfast turn right at the Dullstroom signboard. Continue through Dullstroom towards Lydenburg and 35 km from Dullstroom there is a Stonecutters Lodge signboard on the left. Turn left onto this one kilometer dirt road, proceed through the gates, and follow the signage to the car park in front of the office at Stone Manor.
